Tiredness, mood swings, violent outbursts accompanied by poor judgment, memory gaps as well as occasional hallucinations are what Kaleb is struggling with due to an inexplicable case of extreme sleep deprivation.

Despite sleeping up to 14 hours a day, his condition deteriorates very rapidly.

Under observation, his brain activity indicates that during his sleep, his brain is mostly 'awake'.

Doctors judge that his condition will most likely prove fatal if no solution is found soon.

In order to buy more time and allow Kaleb's brain a respite, he is about to undergo long term clinically induced sleep.

Hi Everyone.

This story is something I wanted to write for a while. I have an overarching plot idea and direction this story is going to go, but it is mostly going to be exploratory writing.

Unfortunately, I do not consider myself good at writing, spelling, style, etc and quite literally have no experience with novels what so ever (other than reading). On top of that English is not my native language so expect errors, misspellings and lots, lots of punctuation issues.

And this is the reason for the direct address - I would greatly appreciate any constructive feedback and comments pointing out my mistakes so I can fix them.

Also feel free to speculate about the story and characters - But remember that I might feel obliged to ‘steal’ some ideas.
