In a world where dreamers dream and dream beasts roam, there are some chosen by fate to be Lucid and some even able to be Awake. These blessed ones are those who are able to travel the paths of dreams and form bonds with dream beasts, whether through friendship or force. These beasts become soul bound to the Awakened and can manifest into the material realm.

How will our unexpecting hero go from a bumbling gentle giant of a chef to an Awaked who can shake the world? Why is his blind master so hard on him? Who will he meet at the Ndoto Academy for Bright Minds and how will they change him?
