Millennia passed since the Dragons found us. Centuries passed since they left us, separating the world with plumes of eternal rainbow fire. People began to wonder: were we worth saving?

Dragons were beings of myth, scaled gods who descended from the heavens to teach humanity and fae. A rare few are afforded the chance to meet their heirs, the undisputed heroes of this declined age: The Scaled. These Children of Dragons are stronger, hardier, and some would say far smarter that other humans, differentiated only by the horns on their head and scales on their skin. Rael is...not one of them.

But Rael does need to protect one. Azmond is a young Scaled, making him a messiah for a few and a target for many. All Rael sees is a plucky kid who needs help.

Escaping from a slave ship catapults Rael and Azmond into a series of events that will send them on a quest to discover the mysteries of the fae, lost realms, fallen empires, and great heroes of bygone ages. All while navigating a burgeoning world war just as demon attacks become more and more common.

note:This will soon be deleted. I realize a lot of what I've written may be pretty, but it's first draft stuff. Plot holes, off tangents, vague ideas, overbearing magic system, I can go on. I will go on in the update chapter.
