Description
The soul from Earth traversed through time and space, emerging as a newly hatched little black dragon in a world fraught with danger. To survive and thrive, it had to rely solely on its innate gifts.
"Man, this world seems vast, and it's bursting with colors. Bet it tastes amazing!" said Ray, a black dragon whose size dwarfed countless worlds, as he eyed the realm before him.

- MontenegroRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Drawing from the lore of Cho'Gath, the story follows an authentic non-human experience as a dragon.
If reading non-human stories is interesting to you, you will find that this story has been above average in providing that. This is not to say this story is perfect or exceptional, but it is definitely entertaining and hits the dragon niche well.
Recently, I have read certain fiction on this site which have been sliding more and more into telling rather than showing. So this is a breath of air from that. Also, if you have read those machine-translated novels, the writing here is significantly better than basically any of those stories, and I have not seen any issues in grammar or sentence structure, etc.
Plot-wise, it could use a little more development, but it has not fallen into any game-breaking tropes for me as of yet, but it might be different for you.
For character development, well, it's not really there yet, but there's potential. Though I will say the main characters morals are a little questionable but nothing abominable, and with inbounds for 'dragons', hopefully we will see growth in that in either direction, evil or benevolent, but with more substance behind it.
If anything, I would be worried if the plot fell more into the power trip genre, so hopefully there can be a balance for that while still following a somewhat balanced progression. OVERALL, read it or don't, but I found it enjoyable and await updates. - HaracasRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Don't really have many good things to say about this novel. It had my attention for the first few chapters but that quickly dwindled when I noticed the lack of interesting characters, boring system and contrived plot.
The story is pretty much a revolving door of the mc finding stuff to eat and evolving and it gets old very quickly. The mc barely faces resistance while acquiring foodstuffs and neither does he need to work for the rewards rendering any pleasure from reading short-lived and superficial.
I am still trying to come to terms with this novel having Cho'Gath in its title. It seems counter-productive to me to create a system thats based on his feast stack ability but then make the mc a true dragon whose innate abilites vastly overshadow the system. And as if that wasnt enough, the system is giving the mc magic affinities despite his true dragon species being naturally attuned to magic. For what?
And yet, despite all this the story could have still been a decent read if the mc was truly villainous but sadly he isnt. Hes acts no differently than other dragons of his species so while he may be classified as 'villainous' to humans from a readers perspective he isnt.
