Description

A hero, a dragon, and a love that breaks all bounds.

A fantasy story of a man trying to save his homeland from a terrible war by completing a prophecy nobody fully understands. To complete his mission he needs a dragon but the road to the dragon’s lair goes horribly wrong, and when he finally faces the beast he stands alone.

A deeply emotional story that deals with pain, regret, betrayal, and failure. Despite it all somehow our heroes discover they need each other and slowly come together. With the help of some dedicated friends they realize their love is special, and go on to forge a new world befitting their unusual union.

If you like dragons, romance, a little magic and a lot of war this might be for you. This story eventually evolves into a very loving harem, where the women rely on and love one another just as much as they love our hero.

Please note: I am an amateur writer who started this story as a form of therapy while my wife was teetering on the brink of death. Thankfully she survived but by that point I was so committed to telling this story I couldn’t stop. I learned a great deal about writing over time but I am afraid my early chapters were very rough. I have since gone back and begun to edit them, applying the lessons learned and cleaning them up. I hope you will still enjoy the story, as I love sharing it and I can’t imagine a better use of my time.

Sexual content..In seven books I have written two sex scenes, but one of them will be highly edited once I reach them with my rewrite. Overall I imply our characters are sharing their love but don't go into any great detail as to how. So if sexual content bothers you, it is only lightly touched on twice.

Having just read chapter one of book 2, this story hasn’t failed to deliver since it began. Yes, I initially saw this story tagged under the “Harem,” tag which may have been the reason why I clicked it, but this story is so much more than that. Rather than looking forward to the “Harem,” I have grown to love all the characters and the depths of their personalities to the point that I had to remind myself that this story was written by someone in their freetime. -WOW.
The few “miniscule” things I can think of that need improvement are a few typos here and there but otherwise I have been beyond impressed with the quality displayed.
In comparrison to other stories with similar tags, “Atros Imperium,” which in itself is a very different story in many respects is one that I think of when comparing the quality of your story to another. Both Atros Imperium and Dragon Knight Prophecy are in my opinion some of the best that RRL has to offer in the genre.
Keep it up!! This story has been amazing so far!!

What a beautiful story of adventure, intrigue, (in)justice, and love! You won't regret it.
FYI - author has a few spelling issues (sent vs. scent, your/you're, etc.) that stick out towards the end of the 2nd book. Up to that point, the chapters are really clean and well written/edited.

The character building is excellent. You can see not only the roots of their initial behaviour, but also how they grow with the events and react in a realistic way.
The author made a few grammar mistakes in the beginning, but those are mostly gone now.
The style and score just keep growing in strenght and lore, every chapters here and there giving hints of the hidden waves that in the end will explain why so much blood was shed. The author has created very stable magic systems, and the characters struggle is a real one, so one wont get sick at seeing OP characters winning through unlikey epiphanies or aided by artifacts that that are the materialization of an author's will to "make things go in the way he wants to".
But as I spilled the beans with the title of this review, it is a story about love. In many ways and places, confusing what was simple and moving what was meant to be immovable. This story displays many of the feelings that move the so called intelligent beings to conflict, yet also shows the answer to solving them, assuming one is able to accept the simple, yet hard truth.

Epic fantasy with good story, engaging characters one can feel alive and believable, in a style that kind of reminds me of Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber.
    Really, it is THAT good.
And by saying good story... You need to read it to understand. Dragons have their own fascinating history influencing the present. Humans have their own, but they are of different cultures and beliefs. And each story is well paced, full of life, believable and wonderful.
And in this wonderfully imagined world, men and women from different cultures join forces with a reluctant dragon to face the firestorm of an unjust and unequal war threatening to wipe the last advanced human civilization from the face of Earth.
Good characters are good even when they make mistakes and none of them is OP or all-knowing. Villains are motivated and believable. And all of them grow along the story, for better or for worse.
Warning! This story span across 9 books is highly addictive!
I needed to add some words as I must write at least 200 words for a review. Please ignore this:

Have you ever wanted to befriend a dragon? Follow the journey of a merciful battle priest and his companions as they race to unite the empire once again. War is marching in. Can they stop it, or will they be forced to watch as the kingdoms turn to rubble?
The story kept my attention glued to the screen for hours at a time, except for the occasional grammatical errors. Although, at times, I thought that characters like Tavis and Ayawa weren't fully fleshed out to their potential. The style of the book reads more like a light novel than a traditional fantasy novel, but that was refreshing for me. Anyone who enjoys a bit of romance with their fantasy should definitely give this book a shot.

all conflicts in this story are resolved with the "power of love" or some shameful deus ex machina
all the conflict and fantastic scenarios are the background for a romance story that gets very boring as the story progresses.
everything revolves around the romance in the beginning it is interesting but it starts to irritate when the whole war the prophecy is basically all the rest of the story comes down to the love of the protagonists

Overall, the main problem I have with this story is just that it's so darn slow.
    Story:
The story has an interesting premise, the thing is the story was ostensibly about a soldier who gets a dragon so he can win a war and instead it turns into two individuals traipsing along and building up a relationship instead of, you know, progressing the plot along. Apparently the urgent war that's supposedly going on is getting nowhere based on how slow of a clip this story is progressing.
    Character:
Pretty good character development from what I've seen, which is better than for most works. However it gets a bit tedious when it's chapter after chapter about a dragon who doesn't understand human society and a human having to explain it to her, that just slows down the story.
    Style:
The chapters are super long, yet at the same time relatively little happens in each chapter, seems to me to be a case of the author being really explicit about every little thing that doesn't really matter and doesn't advance the plot but it all gets written out on the page, making it a slog to get through. Like you don't need that much detail about how the dragon doesn't understand human society, we get it already, this is way too much show not tell.
    Grammar:
No issues from what I've seen, so full marks on this one.

Great start for the story but this fiction is plague with constant repetition. The author need to review his own work or ask an editor to trim down his ramblings and summaries.
Besides that, it would be an entertaining read but too bad my patience ran out. Hence 2 stars.

The book starts really strongly. The characters grow and change. They feel normal. Somewhere around the 60-70% mark it all goes downhill. The action stops. The chapters become an almost surreal repetition of the same conversation over and over again.
The characters suddenly lose 3/4 of their IQ, and behave like broody teenagers. One can skip some 10 chapters and it would have 0 effect on both the plot and the characters. And then the first book ends. I didn't continue on to the 2nd book as I couldn't bring myself to read about the husks of what were the characters before.
The prose is high quality, language and grammar is good, and the chapters are professionally edited.

thought i finally found a nice dragon story that wasn't going on hiatus, but had to drop it as it turns out the MC is a total idiot. Or he is painted one for drama points, but loses on any believability that he actually is a genius.
Gersius is supposedly this tactical genius and a prodigy Knight Commander. He is also a Priest, and regularily communes with his God through prayer. That god sends him feelings of doom and foreboding all along the way, and intensifies that the closer they draw to the target of their journey. What does he do? nothing, because duty? to what? his order? that is worshipping his god? so he doesn't belive in his god's messages?... argh...
had to drop the story there.
if you are a fan of comical villains and artificial drama telegraphed over several chapters, this might be your cup of tea though.
