Description
Atlas always knew life was unfair, but nothing could have prepared him for the day his fate was sealed by the appearance of a mysterious timer in his vision. In just nine short hours, he would be forced to confront a “Door”—a deadly, otherworldly challenge from which few have ever returned. The Doors are not mere entrances, but gateways to trials where survival is uncertain, and failure means death.
As one of the Chosen, Atlas must navigate a treacherous path filled with unknown horrors and unimaginable power. Transported to a stark, Foreign realm, he is pitted against monstrous beings and other Chosen who will stop at nothing to claim the Door's rewards for themselves. But the most terrifying part? Atlas's timer is shorter than any on record, giving him less time to prepare for the ordeal ahead.
Armed with little more than fragmented knowledge and the determination to survive, Atlas steps through the Door. In this cruel world where the stakes are life and death, he must conquer the trials before him, claim the powers within the Door, and return to his world—if he can. But every second counts, and the clock is ticking.

- SaturatedDroughtRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5To anyone who read the previous 40+ chapters, they'll see characters from there mentioned here.
Iris, a capable magician who assisted Atlas when he grew his Aether Core by bounds after slaying a really strong monster, and became Paragon-level.
Ivan, who seemed like a crazed mentor, but knew his way around Aether and helped Atlas fix his issue of relying on his newfound power of teleportation.
The 5 chapters stay true to the original concept in the beginning, but after changes after the introduction of the prison. You have the MC learning about the prison, the new environment, the power system, and the new world he's in after stepping through the door.
But after improvising his ongoing escape attempt, thanks to Ivan giving him a prison knife, the last thing we have is Atlas disguised as a prison guard, while a now possessed Near is about to kill him.
I'd be more invested if it didn't stop updating for nearly a year.
