Description
I'm sure you've heard the stories. I'm sure you thought them right and true as well.
Well, they're wrong. The legends lie. So much has happened, and so much can still come about. The story is not over, nor is my life ended. I'm still here. Waiting. Thinking. Planning. I cannot do much else, unfortunately.
But, the day I am released is the day the legend begins anew.
I simply won't be the main character this time.
This is a semi-sequel of another series of mine,Divine Bladesmith.
However, it is not necessary to read that one at all.Divinity Reforgedworks as a stand-alone piece, and requires no prior reading. In fact, think of this series as being a revisiting of that story's world.
For those that have read Divine Bladesmith, know that anything and everything could have changed. Don't worry though, some elements remain the same.
I just won't say which ones.

- bubbleduckRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Yes, I read the author's previous work. I think I left one of the most popular reviews, actually, but that may have changed. Point is, this is a new novel and I'll judge it as such, but I don't think there's a problem with considering and contrasting with the past.
Style - 4.5/5
This is one area you keep on improving in. If I look back to the first chapter of yours that I read, I can see vast improvements in your handling of dialogue, flow... This isn't a 5 because you do transition between POVs but haven't yet developed distinct speaking traits and personalities for characters yet. Instead everyone comes off when thinking as too gruff and unpersonable. It's easy to tell who is thinking since you use 3rd person and correctly attribute, but there wouldn't be any effort for the reader if characters' thoughts became more distinct.
Story - Not going to give you a score for this one, it's too early. That's also why this is not an advanced review. So far the story score would be about a 3 for a published novel, maybe a 4-4.5 for an amateur one.
You have made a marked improvement on the first lines (and the rest of the opening) of the story, though. That looks promising. And you moved away from half explained blue boxes to in-universe consideration of "status" and "levels"? Am I dreaming? That is my personal preference though, which some people may be very unhappy with. So on the whole I don't think this section can be graded at this point in time. It just hasn't progressed far enough and shown its possibility.
Grammar - 5/5. I noticed one spelling mistake in each of your first two chapters, and there would be one or two that I missed somewhere. But you've done well. Your vocabulary is broad and, while you do use adverbs a few times where you have better options e.g. "ironically enough", your language is sophisticated outside of speech and thoughts - which is how you want it.
Character - 4/5. It reminds me a lot of the beginning of Divine Bladesmith, which was the part I m - 51lkRoyal Road★ 0.5I recently read the author's original series and i enjoyed it. However when i got to the end where he said he would do a rewrite i was unsure if it would go well. I'm writing this 4 years after the first chapter and there is no progress. I understand that life and such can get in the way but when i saw that the author just disappeared with no note after promising to rewrite the original fiction i was sad. I would check out the original "divine bladesmith" as its pretty decent, original and had a good amount of content but don't expect the satisfaction of ever reading a complete version.
