  I was half expecting a shit post story when I clicked on it, but I was pleasantly surprised. There are some good bones here just waiting to be built up into a skeleton. The story is only one chapter in, so its a bit early to say for sure, but its looking good so far!
  Style
  The only thing I didn't like in what I read was the added parentheses. It might just be personal taste, but every time I see parentheses in a book it pulls me out hard. My recommendation? Use commas or dashes instead. They flow a lot better.
  Still, like I said, it might just be a personal preference, so I won't count off for it.
  Story
  Managed to pull together quite a good start for a Helldivers fanfic. Too early to tell for sure, and I have a feeling it'll be short-lived if it's anything like playing the game.
  Grammar
  Nothing stood out to me or felt odd when I was reading other than the parentheses, but I decided to slump that under a stylistic choice instead. It read fine to me.
  Character
  So far, the setup is there. The protagonist, of who no doubt strongly believes in managed democracy, shows true bravery as befitting a Helldiver. And! And not every character is the same cookie-cutter democratic fighter type, which was a pleasant surprise. Keep up the good work in this department, and the rest of the story will flow perfectly.
