- YulweiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story has an interesting concept fusing reborn as a monster, Cultivation and a System together into an enjoyable mix. Divine seems a bit lacking as a character beyond wanting to get stronger but that's pretty much the norm for MCs on RR. I like his goals and reasoning for his actions.
I hope the newly introduced humans don't start to dominate the plot
EDIT: The characterisation is one of the strong points alongside the cultivation system which is given to us in enough doses to be ihteresting but not drown us in technobabble. Even the humans who I was worried about don't feel like plot devices but rather actual characters. The disciples are probably the most lacking but even they feel distinct from each other and I expect once Divine sets them lose on the tribe and/or they take their own disciples they'll be even more fully realised. - MagykManRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story seems good so far, though I think too much time is spent on talking about cultivation magibable and not enough time is spent on plot and character interactions. On the plus side, the character interactions that do happen are fun to read. The plot is too early in the story to really judge yet though.
- Mr. MochiRoyal Road★★ 2.0You know all those stories where people are reincarnated into creatures? This is that with a cultivation skin and a system to boot.
The system serves as the author’s crutch, making weapons, cultivation books, pills, and clothing appear out of nowhere. Not that the story goes anywhere fast because of it. I think it’s pointless and intentionally vague so the author can pull magic pills out of his ass.
The world is pretty small (95% of the story is in a cave so far) and the cast is at this point is barely better than animals. The MC is a stoic antisocial immortal internally, so there’s not a lot of dialogue. I’d say things are progressing in a positive manner as the disciples get older and have more screen time. However it took 50 chapters for the characters to start to feel organic.
Decent time waster. There’s a lot of slice of life and the action scenes are pretty meh outside the brutality. I think the drama and romance was about what I would expect from a goblin story, but I am pretty disappointed with the adventure aspect so far.
