Description
Destiny Marine will return 2025.
Five hundred years after the apocalypse, the country of Arcadia is not the worst place in the world to live. Sure, the military is running the show, food is rather on the pricey side, and general society is in a constant state of upheaval due to the disruptive rise of cultivation, but to a young man like Isaac, things aren’t entirely terrible. He has a roof over his head and a handful of close friends. All he wants to do is continue living a quiet life in his backwater mining town.
Fate has other plans for him. The death of a loved one throws him into the wider world of cultivation, where he investigates a vast conspiracy involving government cultivators, revolutionary movements, corporate samurai, and long-dead heroes that threatens the entire planet. Isaac faces a long road ahead of him, but he chose this one, and he’ll follow it to the end, no matter where it takes him.
Destiny Marineis set in a world inspired by both the industrial/post-WWI period as well as xianxia novels. Chapters will be 2000 - 2500 words. Book 1 is complete; Book 2 is now underway with chapters releasing every day.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great fantasy adventure with an engaging and well-crafted plot! ♥ - The Captain of HellsingRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5So far I have to say this reboot is looking better then ever from the world building to the characters everything just feels so alive although if there is 1 issues I have with this is that the character dialogue just feels a bit to wooden with characters saying stuff with a bit to many words then needed
Thou other then that minor quibble this story is shaping up to be 1 hell of journey - jjhuttoRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Look, this one hell of a story and right up my alley. I am a shameless Final Fantasy fan, and the world building here along with the fights and larger than life characters are all very reminiscent of my favorite video game series of all time. So know this right off the bat. I am biased towards loving this story, I almost can't help it.
Samurai swords dual wielded with pistols. A bad ass side character with a dope sword and a trench coat, I never stood a chance.
Oh yeah… actual writing notes:
Style: Like I said, a great epic world with (suspected) heavy roots in FFVII. The character motivations can seem a little shallow, but you gotta love some of that anime, “They killed my father, it's time for vengeance.” So it's probably more of a taste thing than anything else.
Characters: Maybe could have been fleshed out a little slower or displayed more clearly, but honestly, if you are like me, you are reading this for the swords and the glowing fists. So no real complaints here either.
Grammar: Great. I'm no real nazi in this area, so don't trust my word on this.
Story: This is where Destiny Marine really shines. It's got the Cliffs, it's got the engaging Characters, it's got the super powered fights and the government conspiracies. At the end of the day, I want to see what happens next, and that my friends is what makes a good story.
