Destined

*DISCLAIMER: This is my very first fiction, and may come out as very cringy… I do NOT have a set storyboard, and just a loose idea behind the story. Please bare with me, and all reviews, positive or negative, are appreciated. (Plz no cussing and purposely offensive language tho.)

The “Great Change”:

Countless eras ago, in the year of 21** the “system” was introduced, and with it, change. Wildlife slowly began to become more, even simple rodents now possessing powers unexplainable by modern day science, and great beasts even before the “Great Change”, as it was to be know later, were then mighty Forest Lords, Dessert Emperors and Swamp Tyrants, easily capable of defeating well equipped elite forces and machines. Hydro bombs and nuclear fire were the only weapons capable of barely killing those beasts, and the future seemed bleak for mankind.

Humans fared far worse. Even gifted with game-like abilities to progress and survive, only the bravest and power-hungry, or the people foolish enough, set out to explore, and often, cities and villages were left to fend off and defend itself. And so, many once famous and glorious cities and metropolises were now piles of ashes, long forgotten, only for some settlements to rise later on…

Current day:

Joe is an average person with great ambition, with a slightly above average intelligence, living in the humble village of Tyris, standing on the ruins of what was once called South Korea. Life is satisfactory to any peace loving model citizen, but Joe seeks more in life. But still, society is still a thing after the Great Change, and he finds himself going along with expectations of the community. But little do they know, Joe is actually challenging himself to his limits and on, outside the borders of his safe little town, testing his cunning and might against slimes. Though many might balk at such reckless behavior, Joe cares not, for who would, if they were “Destined to Die”?
