Everything changed when he met Vysla, the damned sanguinexus that tricked him into a trap, awakening his latent bloodlust. As he embraced it, Mark threaded the same path he feared—

A path that would lead him to disaster: against the gods, against his people, and against a murderous time-walking doppelgänger out for his head. Mark was never afraid, no matter how great the threat, because they were merely stepping stones for him in the grand scheme of things.
