Unlike most of the stories you can read here on Royal Road, this novel starts weak, and then becomes stronger. My anecdotical observation is that this is usually the other way around, as in the new chapters do not live up to the expectations generated by the first chapter.
    Style:
Really nice prose! Nothing too fancy or flowery, but that wouldn't fit into the setting. Maybe the sentences could use a little trimming here and there.
    Story:
I did not like the first chapter. I saw a perfect set up for a great mystery, and I felt that it was ruined by way too much info-dropping. Thankfully, as it turned out the mysterious main character's backstory wasn't actually the main mystery. There are many more things to explore in this universe, and as of chapter six there are a lot of intriguing questions which the main character will hopefully find the answers to.
    Grammar:
Really good, apart from the occasional typo.
    Character:
This book is very character-driven, our mysterious main character has a lot of internal monologue, and his personality is very fleshed out. We already have some side characters as of chapter 6, and I am a little afraid that they will gain too much screentime. That could be potentially detrimental to the story. The plot was nice and linear so far, and right now I feel that I would like to continue to explore the world through the eyes of the main character instead of going on tangents.
Overall this is a very intriguing book. It has a relatively lackluster - but still well-written - beginning, but quickly gets better after that. I will follow the developments of the story with great interest.

For now, the story is neat/awesome, the main character is more than likable the story is going smoothly and does not feel fast-paced even though it is true I think some answers should be given already but I like secrets so that is making it more exciting( the latest chapter has no mystery thought which even if different was refreshing).
The details given remind me a lot of my 3 favorite visual novels so that makes me like the story even more on a personal level. Hope we get more chapters soon hope it don t become a city farming /developing story but that can be good too
After reading chapter4 now I loved the mc even more! Just amazing I wonder how possible character development would be
    Grammar:
am giving a 5/5 as you might see it I  am too bad at it to ever judge anyone
    Character:
I love the mc even if the author wants to give him a name which is really sad to hear. I like the general a little but nothing yet other than EX1.
    Style:
as I already said this is really reminiscent of my favorite visual novels(fate hollow ataraxia is one of them, so I can do nothing but give it 5/5
just go for it and read this even if my review does not convince you, am sure the story will

I like the premise of this story and feel there is a great tale to be told about this strange world the main character finds himself in. It is a bit slow to start and getting to the meaty bits of the plot, but the story is written extremely well and flows well. My review explanations are below:
    Overall Score:
I give a 4.5. Of course, this story is still not complete, so there is still more to read, but the setup and story plot are quite solid and leave me intrigued to read more. Very well-rounded story overall.
    Style Score:
I give a 5 on this. The writing style is superb and contains very few grammatical errors. The style flows well and is descriptive while still being easy to read. I can tell the author put a great deal of thought into their writing.
    Story Score:
4 starts here. The story, as I mentioned, is a great story. It's not complete yet, but so far it's been a fun read.  The only tick I'd make on this point is that it runs a bit slow in places which slows the plot down a bit and I think there are spots where some action could be added into the expositions to break it up a bit. All in all, that's not horrible. I still give it 4 stars and can't wait to see how it ends.
    Grammar Score:
5 out of 5. As I stated, grammar is spot on. I've purchased books from bookstores with more grammatical errors than this novel.
    Character Score:
5 on this one too. One of the best things about this book for me is the fact that the author is able to portray so much about an individual character without too much fluff. The character, in the beginning, doesn't speak much as there is no one to really speak to. Yet, through their writing, through actions of the character and inner monologues we can learn a whole slew of characteristics about this main protagonist. As someone who writes myself, I admire this. Very well done.
Can't wait to see how this story ends.

Interesting spin on the standard isekai scenario. I'm very intrigued to read more. The addition of a mystery we have yet to receive clues on (as of Chapter 8) is certainly going to keep me coming back to read more chapters.
The style and writing are good, with few mistakes that the author quickly addresses when pointed out. The only glaring issue I have found is the use of single-quotes when double-quotes are necessary for indicating speech. Not a deal breaker in any way though.
A few of the comments have been complaining about the MC, but I feel these comments are made from a limited scope of personal experience. His reactions absolutely resonate with anyone who has gone through militaristic training, particularly resistance training. The MC's experiences are obviously on the extreme side of that coin, but there are plenty of equivalencies I can relate to from my own training experience.
