Description
In the land of magic, myriad energies weave through the world. By harnessing these forces, one can awaken magic, ascend in power, and even grasp immortality. Among scholars, sages, and wanderers, many pursue the profound truth of the world by tracing the path of their origin.
Arayn is one such seeker.
Forged by a tragic past, he seeks to master demonic powers. Such purity of purpose often casts a shadow. To others, Arayn appears monstrous, a man who walks hand-in-hand with damnation.
To reach his goal, he must confront fellow demonic practitioners, so-called heroes who claim to uphold justice, demons born of the Netherworld, and even the self-proclaimed gods who govern lands from the 'heavens'.

- Maitreya_BuddhaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0„Demonic Arsenal: Fall of the Heavenly Demon” is a novella that captivated me from the very start. One of its standout features is the excellent character development – the protagonist quickly becomes relatable, and you find yourself rooting for him with every step he takes. The foreshadowing is masterfully done, and the story development keeps you on your toes with twists I couldn’t predict, making it incredibly engaging.
The fight scenes are another highlight: they’re not only thrillingly written but also grounded in real martial arts principles, some of which I recognize from my own experience with Taiji – truly impressive execution! The pacing of the story is spot-on; the plot unfolds at a rhythm that feels neither rushed nor sluggish.
The world in which the story takes place is unique and crafted with remarkable attention to detail. It’s rare to encounter such a well-constructed setting. The LitRPG system is a major strength as well: I particularly love the skill system, where abilities can be gained through contracts with demons or learned through practice – it’s both innovative and exciting.
I’m eager to see where the story goes next and how the drama will unfold. So far, “Demonic Arsenal” ranks among my top 3 favorite stories on Royal Roads! As a big Xianxia fan, I initially assumed this would be a Xianxia or Wuxia tale (especially given the “Heavenly Demon” in the title), but it has won me over with its distinct identity. - SkulfighterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story so far is intriguing and the author does not lore/info dump or explain every little thing, which i really appreciate.
The characters feel distinct and i am glad that they are not just some boring, having only one gimmick, characters that just want to do good. These characters are all morally grey, leaning more to the "evil" side, which i also really appreciate. They are also getting more fleshed out and i like the pov swaps, because they give each character more depth and make for a far more interesting read.
I am very interest in seeing where this story will go and am excited for more chapters. - RonSwansongRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Just upgraded this from a 4 to a 4.5. The author deserves it. It's undeniably a slow build. You will feel like there's not a lot of consequences for the characters for 30 or so chapters. I can't comment on whether that's by design or the writer hitting their stride, but it does pick up. It does pay off. Give it a shot.
- eucydakoalaRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I don’t typically write reviews but the author promised bonus chapters if they get reviews today so here we are. I think this book is very good. The concept is very interesting and has been executed very well. The author has shown multiple interesting side characters and I’m excited to see how their stories play out. I do have one concern about the book. The fact that the main character can get stronger using souls concerns me because that would mean the optimal way of getting stronger is by killing large amounts of weak people which isn’t very interesting to read. That being said, the author has introduced the concept of higher tier souls coming from stronger people and I suspect future advancements in power will require these higher tier souls which would solve this problem. All that being said, I think this is a great book and is definitely worth reading.
- NoTime..Royal Road★★ 2.0Characters are all extremely boring. There is little depth into anything they do or think of. Its just foolish worm this foolish worm that. Unfortunate. The overall premise/idea of the story could have been interesting it in my opinion was just poorly executed.
The world building/system/ability explanations are also practically non existent which is unfortunate. I tend to enjoy understanding of the magic systems.
