- CarbonCopyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Solid story with an interesting protagonist who is hard to pin down. There are quite a few places where the point of view bounces in a confusing manner. This improves as the story goes on and finds its feet. The MC definitely doesn't feel overpowered, despite having powerful abilities. it's also hard to figure out her morals and what she stands for, but that seems to related to her abilities and requires spoilers to properly delve into.
- DefectivebyDesignRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story and characters are pretty good. Read another review for more on that. I feel it's more important to comment on how the story jumps around with barely any explanation of what's happening. This might be okay if you are reading a full novel where things can make sense reading through it, but this isn't finished, things are too vague, you are going to forget previous chapters waiting for the next one, the next chapter could be who knows what and you'll be completely lost. Things are generally not explained, and the main character figures out what to do without explaining to the reader. I'm normally fine with this in a standard setting, but this novel jumps around between different characters and even realms. Not explaining it makes a very poor reading experience per chapter, opposed to reading this style as a finished novel. My advice to other readers is wait for enough chapters to get past the confusion of introducing elements without explanation, then you can focus on story content. Otherwise, the writer needs to explain things better, and not swap around so much you get whiplash.
- Vash209Royal Road★★★★ 3.5This is an interesting and well written story and I am interested to see where it might go in the future. However, The unclear POV shifts make it somewhat difficult to read. It will take, on average, a paragraph from each chapter to figure out which POV is being used and what world you are in. The quality would rise drastically if the author would clearly put the POV somewhere at the start of each chapter.
- FancifulEightRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I am interested in the premise of the story, I like the main character and would like to learn more about the characters around her.
The constant POV shifts without informing us of who is talking is confusing me almost every other chapter.
The lack of environment description is also confusing me and we seem to jump across dimensions or between rooms easily without knowing where we were or where we are going.
