I shake my body slightly, ignoring the cold autumn wind. In spite of the sun in the sky, the temperature is still cold enough to warrant the jacket that I brought with me.

It’s been two days since I left Onder, and my rations are starting to run low.

But I think I’ve finally found it.

A brown archway sticking out of the ground, mostly hidden by the vines that have grown up around it. I walk towards the archway, careful to watch my step on the road that has long been destroyed by time. It was once a wide cobblestone road, I’m sure, but the ravages of time have turned it into little more than an animal trail. The roots of the large coniferous trees have broken the road up, allowing any enterprising plant or weed to take root and break it even further.

The darkness that lays just a few meters beyond the archway catches my attention for a few moments before I turn my attention to the archway itself. I take my glove off and lay my hand on the right side of the stone archway, moving aside the vines as I search for any runes or writing. Eventually, my fingers find the slight indents that signify the runes of the old world.

In a world that is still recovering from the slow return of human magic and the abilities of the system, humans have just started to leave the strongholds that have protected them for centuries.

A young man with the class of Delver explores an ancient ruins from the old world, delving deep beneath the earth to find the wonders and artifacts deep within. In the ancient ruin, he finds a treasure beyond anything he could imagine.

Yeah, I'm talking to you, you fantastical adventuring authors and readers. If you want to read how dungeoneering is done correctly, you should read this story. A world after a magical apokalypse is slowly rediscovering their ruins and hidden treasures. We look over the shoulders of our young explorer as he takes his first steps in solo exploring. Everything from the characters, the discovering, the interactions and the fighting is done right. A fine treat to read. I absolutely hope more people discover this story and thank you for the hard work!

So far the story has moved along well, with the system being both present and unintrusive. The descriptions and mood are decent if a touch sparse.
It's refreshing to not have everyone start at level one and have our hands held through a tutorial of sorts. I'm only a few chapters in, but I'm looking forward to catching up.
It does look like the author posts updates with only modest frequency.

Only a few chapters released so far but the story is well written and I'm interested to see how it progresses. Post apocalyptic story where civilization crashed due to the loss of magic. Magic is now returning to the world and the MC is delving to discover lost knowledge and treasure.
