Overall good story and writing I appreciate that the character is a greatly executed aspirational character and it is a joy to read. The storyline is simple but yet there's is depth to it that we as readers have not seen. And I appreciate all the side characters are wealth flushed out. Sven redemption while quick was executed well; in my opinion given his childish state of mind I can see his adaptivity of his changing that quickly yes most are stubborn but Sven is every open minded which gives him the ability to reflect and be redeemed. Nobility in this story is not too monolith and you can see it; a society built on respect for magic and ones personal ability and I was built upon the Lore on how the human kingdom was founded which is good and justified the attitudes of the professors and Nobles in their ethics. And I appreciate that ethics in this story is well written and not too simple or overly complicated with info dumps but it's justified by an external threat to humanity. This world is surprisingly Fair but it has a solid foundation for justifying it because of it lore and founding myth. We have not seen how corrupt the world is but it is there we have not seen it all as of writing this review.

This is a well written story that follows the isekai tropes. so far have not really run into any of the grimdark aspects yet.  Mc is dies and is dropped in the body of a baby with all of his memories intact, shennanigans ensue.  Writing flows well, grammers pretty decent, and its an easy familiar read. I am looking foreward to seeing where it goes, yey cloud facts!

Its decent, has potential. I just didn't think it deserved 2 stars three chapters in. I was today years old when I learned that weatherology was a real word. I thought it was only meteorologists. And please royal road get rid of the word minimums for reviews, some reviews don't need to be belabored.

This story started off with a really great idea. The idea of a weather-based mage is both intriguing and easy for readers to relate to. Some mild red flags are set off, with the term "weatherologist" being forced down our throats, but overall it seems fine. Then issues began with the magic system.
The main character is a commoner, and therefore has very little access to magical knowledge.
The MC immediately realizes he has been reborn, then promptly forgets everything he knows about reincarnation. Magic? Don't know what that is! His magical journey is full of holes. Every time he tries to make any kind of minor advancement, it takes YEARS to complete, and the repeated time skips make it seem like no effort was put in at all on his part. When he casts some minor spells, about the same level as some others, everyone questions why he is so amazing and worships him, when other people literally just did the same thing but with different spells. Plus all the adults act like malicious, petulant children who get a kick out of traumatizing kids. EX:
    Evil dude who's name I can't remember gives a "malicious grin/smirk/look" every 2 seconds.
In addition, all the adults are described as being wonderful mages with extravagant wealth, power, and status, and yet all the real talents are left in the dust. EX:
Sven's dad is uber powerful but left in an unknown rural village?
Plus nobody seems to know what they're doing, since it is literally stated that nobody actually learns about magic.
He only finds out about magic through a mysterious ("hohoho, young foolish Padawan" type) stranger after a HUGE timeskip.
The MC is described as being mature for his age throughout the novel, but we rarely see it. Everyone around him acts the same or even more mature than him, despite not being reincarnated. Relationships with other characters are needlessly dramatic,
And everyone has to have a redemption arc, except for bbeg.
The principal who is made out to be nice at the beginning suddenly change
