- scythe3000Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Amoral lead is always nice, but this fiction goes above and beyond and gives us a happy-go-lucky, amoral, thirsty for blood lead surrounded by colorful 'characters' (I'm looking at you, Chuck). Also, melee bruiser zombie girl is v cool. Fast updates and a lot of good artwork too
Looking forward to more interactions between Sally and Theo, so I guess I have to come back and read more later ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - RoomBotRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0'Nuff said.

Ok fine, real review.
-Sassy zombie girl is AMAZING. "A tear fell down her cheek as she realized she'd never get the chance to devour Theo" OMG that's funny as hell.
-The way Sally is slightly unhinged is also chef's kiss.
-Digs at the silliness of the System are a must. - SebineRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0That would be a fuckin travesty.
I need more words, this is annoying
I don't need 50 words, you fuckin review Nazis
Remember kids: playing with fire is awesome
Also if you get drunk don't try to ride a goat, they're much easier to fall off of than a horse. - rrname12321Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This one is impressing me. I am really enjoying the protagonist's attitude and the fun direction of the story. This is another one that isn't grim dark and I like that despite it being a sort of apocalypse. Loving the jokes and the characters so far. I hope it keeps it up!
- BonesandBillyClubsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Which is the best joke, of course. When it's entirely plausible within the setting. Does she get Elved in V4? Did Theo somehow get turned into a group of gnomes? Sleeping Beauty cosplay and gnome gangbang? Who knows. I quite like the new cover image, regardless of what might be unfolding :D
- MaloryRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is an extremely well done piece of comedy Litrpg which manages to both lean into various genre tropes, whilst thoroughly taking the mick out of them at the same time. The upshot is that this is definitely a book you should be reading.
Story - what happens when a newly reincarnated soul into a zombie mob gains the ability to become a player? Shenanigans, that’s what. That rather meaty premise is dealt with with such a lightness of touch, that you find yourself absolutely routing for her.
Characters - all about Sally at the moment (of course) but an honourable mention must be made to Humps. The antagonists at the moment, really, are a series of irritating players (name me a player who isn't) and then the system itself. I look forward to seeing how she brings it down!
Style - this is a hoot. The tone is wry and with a deftness of touch. There’s a reason this has flown to the upper regions of Rising Stars...
Grammar - no issues at all. It’s great to read a text that, obviously, has gone through some proper proofreading and editing!
Overall, look, you’re probably already reading this. And if you are not, you should be. It’s great. - No Road UntraveledRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Don’t worry about the moaning, Sally has a lot to think about lately. Raptured from her mindless job as a waitress, she finds herself headed for a heap a trouble! Will Sally be able to chew her way to victory, or will be she find her dead-ication lacking?
A mix of comedy, action, and a bit of wholesomeness! Well worth the time to read. - PeterRobertsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First of all, the premise is fantastic. Sally is an avid roleplay fan in a dead end job who lacks some of the social tools needed to actually join a game with other real live humans.
She ends up in a roleplay world complete with spells, character classes, clerics and everything else a DnD fan would love. But the great thing is, she isn't a character, she's an NPC monster - a low level zombie with enough awareness to survive exp hunters and flip the game on its head.
The world building is wonderful with a great big bad character introduced early and a witty companion that Kleggt seems really fond of including in their work (I'm talking about the sarcastic magical hat in Deathforged)
If the plot and setting are something that you are interested in, then Kleggt's style will make this a pleasure for you. Just like their other Fiction "Deathforged: Private Eye" there is a special kind of dry humour throughout that makes it so you can't help but want to follow the MC on her journey and root for her to triumph.
I don't do many reviews, and I don't really read too much litRPG, but as a DnD player everything about the world is familiar and the way the point of view is from an NPC monster is fresh and engaging. I would die laughing if I was in a roleplay game and I ran into Sally and would make her a part of my group in a second.
Hope this is something for you! - DaScootRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is entertainingly written and pretty good fun in a chapter-by-chapter read. There's a pretty decent variety of characters and the action scenes are fairly well done, although there's often a feeling like the protagonists are a little unfairly overpowered compared to the Players they get into fights with, even when lower-leveled. Any one member of the team seems to be a match for a full party with more levels on them.
The one real flaw I find in the story is that, because we know so little about how the System or world works or what happens to the Players, it's hard to really settle on what sort of reaction I should have to a lot of the violence that goes on. It's certainly aiming for comedic, but if the workings of the System are nudged a little in this way instead of that, it could easily be viewed as horrifying instead.
Minor spoilers
Although the story rarely gives concrete numbers, the impression I've gotten is that the vast majority of the Players sent into the world in the first wave are already violently dead, as are a significant number of the ones that came after. Even setting aside the cases of the protagonists perhaps being occasionally a little casually murder-happy, I basically have to try hard not to think about things too much to be able to find it funny. - Nea TankoRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Waking up after the system reset as a zombie isn't fair but I'm here as moral support for Sally the Waitress and her undead wannabe horde*
Humorous, amoral, cute, progression and a talking flying skull. Light-hearted but a tinsy-winsy bit dark as she nibbles her way through the parties of people just progressing their way through the rapture.
If you're looking for a fun, light-hearted read with a bit of a dark edge, then I highly recommend this one.
