Dealer's House

Dealer's House is a fantasy novel set in a period akin to the real world wild west/Victorian era where a mysterious deity only known as the Dealer gives wishes to certain people called High Rollers, but always with a curse attached as well. Mercion D'mont, known to the world at large as the Dealer's Devil, is a man touched by the Dealer and granted immortality. Mercion prefers to live his eternal life as quietly as possible, but his hermit habits are thrown on their head when he is outed in public as the Dealer's Devil. His first instinct is to flee as far as possible, but he soon meets two travelers who have him questioning whether it's acceptable for him to continue and hide in a changing world where innocent people are being forced to give up their normal lives just like he was.

Mercion the devil. Terra the heretic. Corvan the priest. These three have the same goals for different reasons, and they each have a unique relationship with the Dealer. Their story together begins on the edge of the desert in the small city of Dryton, but only the Dealer knows where it will take them. They face seemingly insurmountable odds, and like everyone knows:

The House always wins.
