Description
Transaction (missing) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.
Edgar the software engineer is no longer on Earth. This frightens him quite a lot. Almost as much as public access to production SQL databases.
Unfortunately, the new world cares little for his data integrity, and if Edgar isn't careful he's going to get DELETED.

The strongest point of this story is how well the character's thoughts and personality mix wit hthe writting style. He has (very) strong denial, but (barely) not enough to get him killed too fast, and his first, maybe his second too, reactions are very bad, but he is not dumb, just lost. His behaviour and personality thread the fine line between annoying and relatable, but quirky enough to not get burdened with it.
The weakest point is related to said quirk: he is a software guy to the core. Not a problem, but the use of obscure slangs and metaphors can break the immersion a lot. The idea and feelings still get through, but not everyone will like that.
The system is still not initialized, but we saw enough to expect something different from the usual, and definitely a way to handle and process it that will not be the usual.
I strongly advise you give it a try.
