- CodRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Style: There are very few short and dense series for a reason, it is incredibly difficult to build up a world with vibrant characters, so most simply label it as a short story and be done with it. I can only say that I was pleasantly surprised while reading. Queen Nightshade was able to convey an incredible amount of information in just a few short chapters. Really, this is the epitome of a light read.
Grammar: Utterly atrocious. A spell check is needed. Though it's not unreadable, and there was only one moment where I didn't understand what the word was supposed to be.
Story: Quite straightforward. I would have liked some more depth, but with the length of the book, it wouldn't really be possible. The world is quite interesting, but I still lack a lot of lore, so it's quite the mystery still. Even if Queen Nightshade did an admirable job of loredropping where possible.
Characters: I loved how raw and down-to-earth the characters were. It's very refreshing to see characters act like people (even if a bit immaturely). I would have liked even more time to flesh the characters out and build them up.
Overall: I enjoyed it, and that's all that matters. Thank you, Queen Nightshade, for uploading your story to RR so I could have a relaxing read full of cheering and laughs.
