You've seen the cover of the story. What emotions does it draw from your mind? I'm hear to tell you every emotion you feel while looking at that gorgeous cover art is exactly what you'll feel while reading the novel. The story, the prose, writing style, the characters. Every single one of the points that make a story good have been thoroughly covered and conveyed. This thing isn't a novel, it's an experience and a damn good one at that. When you normally fuse two or more opposing genres to make a story, you have to sacrifice a bit from both to make the story work. Not sure if I can reference other works but a story with the initials T.D also tries to mix both the system and cultivation genre. In the process, it squanders what makes each genre unique and loved. This novel on the other hand, this novel right here is quite literally a work of art. You have the satisfaction of crunchy numbers going up and knowing what's happening at all times that's unique to the system genre, while also preserving the unique sense of mystery and mysticism you feel while reading the cultivation one. It's an absolutely unique storyline and I'm at the metaphorical edge of my seat waiting for new chapters.

So far the story is still in the early stages, but the MC is likable and what we do see of other characters when they get some focus shows some promise but we haven’t gotten the time to see too much depth yet.
It’s about a cultivator that seeks to better his domain, not because he is a reincarnator, as he is not one, but because he learnt to. He gains a system, and with it we are starting to see his story.
I think the story shows promise, and I look forward to see where it goes.

My personal advice, without saying anything else: read through all of the first chapter. By the end, I think you'll know if the story is for you.
DAOPOCALYPSE is a bit of a silly title. When I first saw it I wasn't sure if the story would err on the more comedic side. It does not -- it's a serious story with a really solid premise and a great MC that is very easy to root for.
The story follows the story of MC, Feng Sai, as he navigates tumultuous circumstances and advances his own power.
Much of what I'm about to say you'll get from the very beginning if you read the first chapter like I recommended, but here it is.
Feng Sai, the hardworking firstborn son young master to a prominent sect, is cast off as a child for being unable to cross the bottle neck of qi condensation and enter foundation establishment, the second cultivator tier. He isn't disowned, but he's sent off to just... exist. He despairs. He wonders what the point of life even is, now that he's doomed to never achieve immortality. What is the point of living as a normal person at all?
And so, he goes to find out. So ensues a metamorphosis from spoiled, directionless young master to benevolent enlightened ruler of his lands. He listens to the commoners, provides for them, gives them opportunities, supports institutions of learning, and explores new opportunities at the advisement of the officials and scholars around him, the kind of people most cultivators would consider on the level of ants.
The above happens through time skips, and story catches up to the present when the MC is twenty. Yes, twenty. He's done all of the above in just a few years.
The inciting incident occurs in chapter 2 (so I'm not putting this in spoiler tags) when the MC finds a worldgate in the desert. It's a very satisfying discovery because it feels earned. The MC established this new settlement in the middle of nowhere at the advisement of the mortals and his colleges, who had noticed patterns that none of the lofty cultivators ha

This is a very well thought out and executed story, with interesting twists on classic tropes of the genre.
The litRPG subtype of System grants power to nonsystem/other system native is slowly growing, and Daopocalypse is a good exemplar of this subtype done right.
While a lot about the system and the mc’s native cultivation is unknown, enough is revealed that we get the feeling of a deeper underlying metaphysical framework.
The characters themselves are also a high point, all well thought out and dynamic.
The plot keeps moving, the pacing is pretty solid though maybe a little slow at times.
All in all a very recommended read that really knows what it’s going for!

normally i don't review so soon but i find this story is good and has a partially new idea that can be expanded and the hidden parts and parts yet to come that are very intriguing and i hope to see more of this story so i hope you will give it a chance as i did.
    * i write this here so i can compliment first then start with suggestions. the story has a good flow i believe it has a future and you should probably read it. the world is cultivation but they understand there are other worlds but it does not leave out the giant world trope simply making 2 giant worlds with many continents. at least that is what i got from the novel till now. i see that the author has seen the whole story when writing this and i like the fact that he is making some changes as the story progresses and amending the past issues that are rising .
1.the protagonist has a good back story it is  not  a mix and match of events that are supposed to make the protagonist how the author wants no it is a progression of events that lead to how he is.
2.the world building or well worlds building is very good and i like how each world is separate yet related and also the fact that although he is a genius not all geniuses get what they wish and i really like the part about him not being good at his cultivation and the reason for it being revealed later. what i don't get is the protagonist not commenting on the messages from the God or the stone Teachers weird behavior it is like the MC is ignoring it. i believe we should get  a line or two from him there .
3.the grammar and style and words used are good tho i personally am not one to judge as i am not very good at this aspect myself and may  be some one else should review for this part.:) i just did not found any mistakes and i understood every thing and i am not a Native English speaker so may be you can say it is soooooo good a beginner understood it .
4.i liked the POV. change we had and i like the consistency seen there as it was not just one protagonis

    Story:
An interesting approach on a cultivation world with gaining a system through a heritage. So far a good origin story for a hero in the more classical sense than a traditional xanxia MC.
    Style:
A western approach to Xanxia, I would say.
    Grammar:
    Some errors but not many.
    Character:
The MC is fleshed out and in recent chapters we got some insight into the motivations of his mentor and bodyguard Wen. So not onedimensional and the character building is slowly growing.
    Overall:
A very nice beginning of a progression story with growing characters in the process to be fleshed out and an equally growing world building.
The MC’s motivation and his strong feelings are the cause that makes the story come alive for me.
The mc is a young master who‘s fallen from grace. But through that experience and with the help of his mentor he learned that most mortals under his rule had much less than he retained even after his loss. So he went out of his way to empower his people while leaving his stalled cultivation behind. After he found the heritage and improved his cultivation method and rank, his motivation is still the same as before, that he wants to protect and empower the mortal people under his rule. He saw the similarities between himself as a stalled cultivator and the pure mortals without a way to reach immortality and that’s his root motive to protect them from other cultivators.

The start of this book is ... simple.
You simple are not explained how things work, and as such you all the time get big world changing things explained by first hand experience and the world feels magical and large. And things seems to be in harmony if some in the world are very powerful they would have status of "demigods" and look down on the week. The world seems to be logically built it all makes sense each new revelation fits with the other.
Its still only potential in the early parts but the world building and characters are all very compelling with any miss steps yet.
This is one of the few books on the site i both admire and find easy and fun to read.

I greatly enjoyed the concept. I believe the most fun part about most isekai is the “oh wow” reactions of the inhabitants of the world. This particular book double dips so that the inhabitants of the LITRPG world are impressed by his cultivator abilities, and the cultivator world is impressed by his LITRPG abilities. There are plenty of mysteries and plots that will get you invested in the story. It does update slowly. One of those once a month stories, but I have no problem with that.

I really enjoy the author's mc viewpointshe way he (author) presents his characters and how the background is working in this story.
I'm looking forward to the character growth of the people of the system versus the people of the cultivation and how these things are working out.
Also like the depth of the MCs character concerning mortals and schools and their value!

A very fresh story for an overwritten style. Running from the reincarnated and the isekai troupe, it's a good twist to the litRPG and Xianxia genre.
I like the political underlines of both worlds, though it has been shown more of the xianxia side. I don't remember reading about a sect like the Grimm Tempest, very interesting 10 out 10, and a martial arts tournament arc is always fun, brings back Dragon ball vibes, although, all the participants will probably be using the same Grimm Tempest Scion art.
I'm not a native speaker, so I can't say much about the grammar, but I haven't seen anything to complain, seems like a well written story so far.
I like how the characters were written, a few of them, more so in litRPG world, seems less developed, but they are side characters, and too many words spent developing them would get tiring fast. I'm looking forward to seeing the relationship between the MC and his brother, one thing I didn’t understand is if the Feng Patriarch is really their father, or if he’s some type of adoptive father.
Too bad there aren't many chapters right now, I've binged the 23 chapters in the weekend. Looking forward to reading more of it.
