Have to say this has been a very fun story to read. Enjoy the MC...OP but quirky enough to be entertaining. And the backstory is rich and hints to be very interesting. The nod to fairytale characters is hilarious. Look forward to seeing where it will go. Give it a try.

If the answer is no, than so am I!!
But please just power through the early start, novel is nice, and based on this author's history in his previous works, well, suffice to say I'm more than willing to stick along the ride and see what he's cooking.

I first found this on Amazon and got addicted so I had to come here and follow it. I actually thought I left a review awhile ago but I think I forgot to post it. I’ve done that before. Anyway, this is a very entertaining and fast paced series. The MC is arrogant and a little crazy. Who wouldn’t be crazy in his place?
He’s determined to be the most powerful being in the galaxy. It’s good to have goals.
The whole fairytale characters thing is a little odd, actually a lot odd but anyway, it adds a lot of fun to it. So….I’m here for his journey to power, all the way to the top. I hope he makes it. That the author can keep writing. I know that is a huge and sometimes impossible job but since I so thoroughly love this series I hope for it to continue all the way.

[First of all, I love mecha stories so I am a bit bias.]
While I normally dislike constant switches in perspectives, it is handled well enough here. This story is written very well in fact and Is pleasant to read. No need to constantly fill in blanks or forcefully make sense of what is on the page. It's nice to find an author that is good at writing.
The story is a little generic as far as evolution and ascension type novels go, but it's still fun to read as is. Not to mention that the story is just getting started.
The character isn't fully flushed out yet but he feels like a real person. A lot of story's have one dimensional characters or overly simplified personalities, but every once in awhile you'll find characters that actually are written with comprehensive emotions and thought processes.
needless to say I am very excited to read this all the way through and hope that if you love mecha's, space operas, and a kinda unhinged MC, that you'll give this novel a read.

so far, the rewrite has been pretty faithful to the original, just paced a lot faster. we are breezing through the first arc at record speeds, Ii look forward to the re-reading experience, seeing what changes, what doesn't.
As far as the content of the story itself, it's a solid reading experience

Quite well written but all the fairytale names make suspension of disbelief hard for me. I hope there will be an in-universe reason given, eventually, but given the temporal distance and so on, it makes me think he's going to find out next chapter that it's all a dream or something like that, and everyone he has met evaporates in a puff of logic. If it /is/ some kind of dream/simulator then the reader should be let in of the secret and see the outside perspective a bit. We maybe got a hint with Venus, but not enough.

This started amazing, read the first book on Amazon. Then came over here to read the second book and oh goodness why? The book has devolved to characters from Earth fairy tales even though they're in the wide universe and a love interest called Dorothy from Oz. It's so unoriginal and disappointing. Why would anything from Earth thousands of years ago become the characters that are all important in the future he's trying to meet sleeping beauty and etc. It's just so nonsensical. I've lost all hope that it's going to be for a good reason other than the author ran out of ideas.

I tried getting into it but the constant pov switches ruined it for me. It seems pretty well written. However go into this expecting 5+ pov switches per chapter. And they are pretty short chapters too. POV switches can be great if uses properly, here they are not. They main character doesn’t feel like the mc with how little is focused on him.

I really like this story, cool concept, MC is written really well, great character. But once he leaves the first planet, the author starts introducing characters from The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, and alluding to more of the same.
It's lazy, and ruins the story. I cannot stress how much I despise the direction the author is going. I will give them about 10 more chapters, but if the MC has to rub elbows with Smee to get dirt on captain hook I'm done and this becomes a 1 star. Write your own characters, you're ruining your own story.
Chapters become shorter and farther apart, with no drive to the story. It burned too bright it in first arc and is now fizzling out.
