- KashRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't follow the formula of categorizing everything. I can just say so much that I love the real characters, the depth of the story, it's easy to read and it's got great potential. The litrpg system isn't all encompassing but I like it when it's there and gives the main character a clear advantage but without taking away from the real world. This does that really well.
Eagerly awaiting more. - DrEngRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Just finished catching up and i have to say it’s been good so far.
grammar is also good and u could understand what’s going on. So it flows basically.
looking forward to what the author has for us.
if you’re interested in the mafia and want to see a somewhat realistic aspect of it, would definitely recommend. - Happy Bookworm Coffee AddictRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Litrpg and low urban fantasy generally don't work out together. But somehow, this novel have been pulling it off so far.
The style of this novel is simple and fluid. Nothing in particular that stand out but easy to read. And in the end, that what matter most. Nothing to complain about grammar, wordings or spelling too, so it's all sunshine and rainbow so far.
My Main concern is about the story itself. The idea is orignal and it's impossible to predict what the MC would do next. So it has real potential. But you won't read this novel for the quality of its story unless you specifically want some light reading before bed. So far, this novel isn't a serious "godfather litrpg" but rather the story of bunch of idiots degenerate doing petty crimes and pretending to be real mafiosi. I understand the story is only getting started, but the first few chapters are also supposed to set the tone for the entire novel.
Then, there are the characters supporting that story. The MC has very little depth to him and the other characters even less so. Even the MC potential future love interest is only defined by her beauty and her low-key interest in the MC. Again, that's fine for light reading. For what the novel is aiming for in term of story and characters, this is good and entertaining enough. But don't expect to much of it.
In conclusion: So far, this novel feel more like a comedy than a drama. And if there had been some strategy and psychological elements to it, I must be either dumb or completely oblivious cause I've missed them. Maybe it’s in store for later? But so far, this cosa nostra litrpg have a feel of GTA: it's all fun and crimes and no consequences.
