- argusthecatRoyal Road★★ 1.5The premise is fine, but there's just nothing here. Chapters are tiny, there's no descriptive text, no charactarization, nothing. There aren't even really any unique ideas on display to make up for it. It's technically written well enough, but the words don't flow, and it feels very clinical and dry to read, like paperwork instead of an adventure. There is no main character, there is just an autoturret made of meat. There is no story, there's just fight scenes, and there aren't even very good fight scenes.
I'd seriously consider a redo of this. Go back, beef every chapter up to about 1k words, and pack in more details, more character emotion, more inner monologue. Set a scene, make it interesting, and do something more with the shop than letting a human soldier from Earth buy human Earth survival gear and land mines.
