Well written. Good world building. I will of course continue to read as I am not yet at the end, but I do have a concern about the immaturity of our main character in his regard to the mercantile side of his ability. That is going to come back later and bite him on the buttocks but I am totally here to see that.

I highly recommend "Conscious Descent" to fans of progressive fantasy and dungeon diving stories. Grammar: As a native English speaker I have not noticed any glaring grammatical errors. The grammar therefore to me appears to be good.
Story: At the point of this review, the story while being in line with a typical LitRPG storyline still manages to give an enjoyable take on the genre. The choices taken are also refreshing and I would consider the story to be a hidden gem. Additionally, the author posts reasonably consistently with enough of the story developed so far to get a real bite into how the story is progressing. Also, without spoiling too much, there does seem to be enough foreshadowing to let the reader know that the book has at least an outline and plan as to where it’s going.
Character: the main character and supporting characters for me are reasonably enjoyable. They make logical decisions and I do not as a reader find myself feeling annoyed or frustrated by their actions or decision making in the book.
Style: I was satisfied with the writing style as engaging and clear. No issues with the pacing or paragraphing. Nothing necessarily jumps out about the writing style but that really may not be necessary.
Overall I would definitely recommend the book. It’s a really good start and I am looking forward to see where the story goes!

As stated, the odds of an unstable awakening are 1 in 5000000. If an unstable awakening was this rare, I would expect very different treatment than we see here.
First, I assert the population must be several hundred million minimum, else we wouldn’t know what we do about unstable awakenings
Second, a head of state could personally attend every one of these events - and probably should be watching very closely since these are anomalous abilities
We see none of that - the reaction we see is more like an unstable awakening being a rare thing (1 in 500-20000ish), not being a practically unheard of oddity.
Yes, it’s a small complaint, but the difference between 1 in 1000 and 1 in 5000000 is the difference between being overlooked and receiving nation-state level attention

I'm really enjoying the book, great concept and has potential to grow, I think one of the only things holding it back is the amount of chapters, if the author could up the amount and advance the story a little more, "probably just me wanting more", id love to read more of it. Hope the author keeps up the great work.

Solid so far!
Some minor editing issues. There's a bit of common character weirdness for me(leveraging of resources), but I wouldn't class plot as bad/mediocre by any stretch. Part of having a cheat power + dynastic resources right off the bat.
Looking forward to see how it grows. And also how the MC will continue to face threat.
