When 31-year-old Markos Turloch is murdered in a heinous manner by his boss, Bobbi Nox, as revenge for whistleblowing on his employer, he loses his humanity and is reincarnated as a diamond-like dungeon core in another world. After discovering and exploiting a dungeon-breaking cheat, Markos maxes out his dungeon level and begins to explore the world above his dungeon.
When his dungeon helper, Jessica, comes across a dying young man being sexually tormented by a female ogre, Markos' decision to save his life becomes the turning point in Markos' new existence. Upon learning the truth of this new world as one where females dominate in both numbers and social status, Markos settles on a new goal: to conquer the land of Enwald and reassert male dominance as its king!
Markos' first target of conquest is the Kingdom of Vessar, where his dungeon is located. Borrowing the body of Sibalt, the young man he saved, Markos journeys across the kingdom in search of information, allies, and companions to help achieve his goal to conquer the kingdom.
CONQUEST is the first book in The Dungeon Core Gambit series. It is a dark harem fantasy built on the twin pillars of GameLit and Dungeon Core elements. Inspired by "Ooku: The Inner Chambers" and "How to Build a Dungeon: Book of the Demon King," CONQUEST will appeal to readers of both Japanese manga series.
WARNING: This book contains numerous mature situations involving sex and violence. In particular, the opening chapter depicts the violent murder of the main character. Furthermore, there are numerous explicit sex scenes as well as the enslavement of the MC's enemies. Reader discretion is advised.

- monoliithRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So basically, the story is a fun read, and thats what the author is going for.
Theres no big huge drama, no excessive melodrama, no sobbing like a bitch, or screaming like a lunatic. Its a fun story, and just keeps going.
There are a few issues, and when I see one I post a comment in the chapter, but overall, for an amatuer author, which this is, this is a very good story.
Is it top 10 of RR? No. But it's coherent, fairly well edited, the characters, while fairly 2D, are still pleasant to read about.
So, as i said, it's a 4 star story for RR (id give it 3 on amazon) but it's worth reading casually, and could be great if re-started with a bit more story planning. Bumped my score to 5 star to help offset the amount of douche RR reviews people get on here - johns276Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Its entertaining and a quick read. And thats what counts.
bumped up half a star cause of all the hate here, lol - Jrs360Royal Road★★★ 3.0Good grammar, entertaining story, interesting dungeon progression. Yes the whole "thermal vent" power is BS and consequently makes the MC OP. This is particularly bad as the MC becomes all powerful, doesn't use that power, and has no call to use that power through my reading up to Ch 41. Instead of using his power when he considers threats he decides to make allies, a good decision if you are not OP making fixing this story workable. The next biggest issue is the harem rapaciousness.
- MagstzerpRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I like it. Despite all the comments of others.
That is not to say that this story is anywhere near a professional level, but this is a site for amateur writers, so it's easily forgivable.
The issue I do have with the story are mostly based on personal tastes:
1) The MC has taken over two avatars, with both retaining their own minds, even though the story at first seemed to me to imply that the young man was barely existing in the MC's mind.
I would have preferred the MC to have waited and somehow made a body of his own
2) lack of details in the dungeon building, and the fact that the MC does nothing at all, leaving all the work to the fairy are huge let downs.
Also, don't gloss over so much of the details.
3) the dwarves being afraid of the MC despite having the protection of the spirit is the whole mountain, was a bit awkward.
4) he says that the supreme earth elementals are four stories high, buy the party still inconspicuously brings multiple of them with them everywhere they go.
5) for a world where women are dominant, they sure aren't acting like it. Their personalities don't fit that sort of setting in my opinion. - aadajoRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I have read many better stories in RRL but lets be honest i dont care if there bad or good i like what I like.
Since this is gonna be taken off at the end of June I said sure lets give it a try however I would only read this for the thrill of it and not but it for pleasure reading like I am doing now!
I am always happy to see new authors selling there books on Amazon and double that when its on kindle unlimited since I like both supporting them pending on the author if he has patreon refuse to use paypal
well I know am about to rant if you dont like OP, Unconventional dungeon managment and would like to see them make a kingdom filled with non human harem and maybe a few standared harem races read this then other wise please people keep your comments to yourself
Also Author I like the book but I do agree to some of the comments it can be better you might want to review the works before posting this on Amazon.
also on chapter 19 when I wrote this review - tomjt1234Royal Road★★★ 3.0Although I never post reviews I just wanted to add my 2 cents in lol. I’ve currently read all available chapters (up to 29) and all I can say is that it’s a solid read to just pass time. My complaints are, that everything kinda just comes to the MC way to easily. Most of the interactions between our MC and another party consist of the MC saying how he’s reincarnated and a dungeon core, which gives him their seal of approval. I kinda wish the author went into more detail about the level system and the dungeon building itself instead of... Jessica built various mazes with traps and Elementals and dead ends and BOOM problems are solved. I understand it’s still early in the novel and his “cheat” helped him gain a boost in power but a “heat vent” or basically a pocket of heated gas underground shouldn’t be an unlimited source of power in my opinion. BUT my number 1 concern is that in a world that’s dominated by women (even in all the various species) I feel as though the women are way to “submissive”(?) to our MC... Honestly I suspected way more resistance especially when he tells everybody and their Grandmom the location of his base. Although he’s a “maxed” level dungeon he was just dealing with a clan of dwarves. Whom might I add had a lvl 20 leader plus the spirit of the mountain whose not to say that this clan doesn’t have multiple elder fighters who are at lvl 15+ they should easily destroy a dungeon that was only designed to attract low leveled adventurers.
ANYWAY I still plan to follow along the story because it’s actually pretty solid if you don’t put to much thought into everything and just enjoy it for as it is. - ILoveAnimeRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The idea itself is not bad, but I feel like the author is just skimming over the story. There really isn't depth, things just happen and mc just does things. Also, hivemind puts me off, at least how it's presented. It kind of feels like mc is just living through his avatar and sometimes taking over. Would be more interesting if he had his own body.
It needs more insight on what happens inside character's head and around him. And plot armor is just too thick. I won't say no to his cheaty leveling, but there needs to explanations and more work gone into it.
And even if those were corrected, I probably wouldn't read this because of hivemind part. Many people are put off by split personality/person plots. - EncodedRoyal Road★ 0.5I tried to give this story a chance despite the very worrying harem and rape warning because the synopsis seemed to be well written.
Yeah, what a waste of time. I stopped at chapter eleven because i didnt see the point in reading further.
Slight spoilers ahead.
So basically in chapter 11, our one dimensional MC who know nothing of the world decided that letting a random witch he doesnt know read his mind and letting her know he is a dungeon core was a good idea. "Because i want her to be my ally"
And she took it well, because plot-armor. I'm sure she wouldnt be angry that a monster possessed the body of her recently deceased apprentice, right ?
If you still decide to read this, expect non-existent personality, convenient plot armor. And that's not forgetting that this is a harem-rape story. Why did i decide to waste my time with this is beyond me.
Edit: I was maybe a bit too harsh with my choice of words and score. But even without the animosity my points still stand. - EaslyRoyal Road★ 0.5The decisions oft the mc are totaly random and stupid. Killed the storry for me when he lets the first person he mets for one minute read his mind. And thats only one of them.
