A 17-year-old boy called Liam Hillston lives next door to his aunt in a US metropole. At school, he's smart and has a good memory, but he doesn't have any friends. It's kind of depressing, but he doesn't care. Liam ends up meeting a new girl at school called Chloe Wilson, and she becomes his first friend in a long time. Later, he makes bizarre discoveries about the world. And because of an event, he discovers mysterious things about himself... he discovers that... his future won't be very pleasant... unfortunately, horror awaits, and he won't take it easy...

Beneath the ordinary world, there is another world, a bizarre and strange world called the “Hidden Side”. In this world, there are beings called Spectres, beings who live in this bizarre world and can pass from their world of origin to the ordinary world of humans, but there are people with powers who fight against the Spectres... the Alchemists.
