Description

In a world ravaged by endless war, Athena is raised in an academy that forges warriors, training them in combat and preparing them for a fate she does not want to become a Light, a god-like resurrected warrior bound to the battlefield for eternity. Alongside her closest friend, the sharp-tongued Prince Achilles, she struggles against the rigid expectations placed upon them, questioning the purpose of a conflict that has lasted for centuries.

Their world is divided between Lights, powerful warriors reborn with divine strength, and Tricks, the enemy’s own version of immortal soldiers cunning, strategic, and just as deadly. The war between these two forces has raged for as long as history remembers, with no clear victor in sight.

Athena’s life takes a cruel turn when she discovers that her mother, Vee, was chosen to be one of the Main Six Lights exceptionally powerful beings revered as saviors. But to Athena, it’s not an honor. It’s a betrayal. Vee abandoned her, leaving her to fend for herself in a town that despised her. The revelation festers like an open wound, fueling her resentment toward the mother she never truly knew.

As the war looms ever closer, Athena and Achilles confide in each other, admitting their shared fear: they do not want to be Lights. They do not want to be pawns in an unending war. But in a world where fate is dictated by blood and battle, their desires mean nothing.

Trapped in a cycle of violence, they must make a choice continue down the path carved out for them or defy the gods themselves in pursuit of a future free from war. But in a world where war is all that remains, is peace even an option?
