- GonturanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0TLDR: Ending is extremely abrupt, but still offers closure. The story up until that point is fascinating and well-written.
Longer review: The author subscribes to a hard magic descriptor so if you're into that then you'll like this. If you prefer your magic on the softer/more intuitive side then there's a bit of that. Kind of. If you like logic AT ALL then you will probably dig the way that the protagonist interacts with the "system"/Pyramid. It's slightly anthropomorphized in a way that makes me think there's probably some cool worldbuilding in the author's mind to explain it, but this is one thread that gets cut off in the sudden ending. The author does offer a nice bit of closure for the protagonist's journey even if it is rushed, but as they lost interest in the project I do not fault them for that. At least they aren't leaving the readers hanging.
