Description
Deo is a simple guy with a straightforward passion: his garden. In a world where many are swept up by technology and urban buzz, Deo finds unmatched satisfaction in the dirt between his fingers and the green sprouts that follow a good day's work. He isn’t one for confrontations, often choosing to silently agree rather than instigate, valuing harmony above all.
But Deo's simple life is about to change. While serving tables on a cruise, a twist of fate flings him into Caeloria, a mythical world full of deadly beasts and apocalyptic threats, alongside the world's most elite young Olympic champions. In this dangerous realm where every sunrise brings a new challenge, Deo's only assets are his knowledge of flora and his innate desire for peace.
The Chronicles of the Green Mage unfold.

- LilaxRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm enjoying this story, so much so - I've made an account to state it. Change of pace from the normal doom and gloom of life and death
I'm being impatient of course but I look forward to his adventures further afield.
I'm enjoying the slower paced life and build up of his abilities.
I wish I didn't have to wait so long for each chapter 😫 - FirinenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The MC gets summoned with other people who the world sees as socalled "champions". I love that although he is not chosen the mc stays true to himself and proves that everybody is exceptional and good is something even when most people don't see it on the first look. This book is fun, has a great litrpg system and has a good pace. Therefore a deserved 5 stars. Enjoy everyone!
- Space killerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I recently read chronicle of the green mage , a book that exceeded my expectations in its portrayal of nature. The story was perfect, the narration was good, and the characters were well-developed. I was particularly impressed with the way the author was able to weave together the various elements of the story into a cohesive whole.
The protagonist, Deo, is a very interesting character. He is a sorcerer who is deeply connected to nature and has the ability to communicate with animals. As the story progresses, we see him grow in strength and confidence, and I am eager to see how he will fare against the other champions.
One of the things that I really appreciated about this book was the way in which it highlighted the beauty and majesty of nature. The author's descriptions of the forest and its inhabitants were vivid and evocative, and I found myself completely immersed in the world that he had created.
Overall, I would highly recommend "chronicle of the green mage " to anyone who loves nature and enjoys a good adventure story. The writing is excellent, the characters are well-drawn, and the story is engaging and exciting. I can't wait to read more from this author. - RootsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I enjoyed reading this one.
The story developed differently than how I would have expected from the first few chapters. I thought the story was preparing for a more combat and progression oriented focus, but it turned into more of a slice of life. I think the author started writing and just found the story hidden between the pages.
This story feels light but not empty, cozy but not without danger and I'm looking forward to the next chapters for my next fix of feel good energy. - Natasha Velkirk (Zach or Zach)Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Chronicles of the Green Mage is a tad simple. But that doesn't keep it's positives from shining through. It may be typical, expected, and nothing new around most corners. When you read through it, for the most part, it likely won't surprise you often. Yet, despite that, I just.... Really like Deo, the main character. I dunno, he's just kind of a vibe. And the simple dedication to nature is enjoyable. He's one note, but with a fair bit of depth. It's nice. There's a good bit of it that's just cozy, and other parts which are quite striking.
The combat and system are both implemented well, and I really appreciate those things. The fights are well described, and feel concretely in world. When the main character defeats an opponent, it feels like he made the right choice, and used a clever strategy to win. Which is good, and I like it.
And the focus given to plants, and animals is really nice. It's not substantial, but it is enjoyable. Again, something I like quite a bit. The themes of the story are different from a lot of other fantasy stories, so despite how frankly average (though good) the story is, it has a different vibe to a lot of stories.
It's a good story, and you should read like three or four chapters at least. - ramoutonRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The author treads a fine line where he interweaves a system based world and magic and making that system unobtrusive, I think he succeeds. Overall grammar and language use are good, and the characters are more than cookie cutter, although, I do hope more of the reoccurring characters get fleshed out more. Good Story So far, and well worth the read.
- jumureRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This fic speaks to me on a deep level. A cottage core cosmic fantasy story with the world hanging in the balance but also a nice homey atmosphere. What more could you want?
My one gripe is that sometimes we have chapters that are a sneak peak at other side characters who I don’t care about. But! I respect the necessity of those chapters to the story. I’m just a particular kind of person who cares about the characters I care about and NOBODY ELSE. - IamkrazycatRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Good job for not giving the mc an epic, legendary or even just a rare class. I’m just at chapter 2 but you have earned the 5 stars for not making your mc to overpowered at the start without him earning it or relying from backstory stuff that hasn’t happened in the story and that we only know because the mc said how good he is in whatever he’s good in.
changed it to four stars hes gotten to op for my liking - FlamingFalconRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story is still quite short and it’s early days. So I don’t really have much to add just yet.
But I feel this story has potential. I’m curious about the druids and where this world tree is gonna take them: along with how the peaceful aspect of this story is gonna progress along with the recently introduced pov to the other summoned “champions” - ThalnosRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0It is nice to see that there are some plant/nature based stories that are well written on here.
The protagonist is likable and most of his action seem to make sense in context, i have it a little strange that most people are not able to tell the rank of each other in a easier way despite all the abilities of the system.
The homesteading building is a well paced part of the story, and the world build is done in an elegant way.
The animal companion is a nice departure from the traditional animals, will have to wait and see how much it's abilities shape the destiny of the MC as it appears to be somewhat at odds with most of the natural druid/green mage's abilities.
Overall very worth while if you are looking for a balanced type of story
