This story made me smile, and I can't think of any higher praise I could offer. It wasn't intense, but it was heartfelt, and I came away from it with a real smile on my face. The plot felt fast but not rushed, and while. I would have liked seeing a bit more from the perspective of the titular duo at the end, the use of different perspectives worked very well in general.

this is a heartwarming queer feel-good story about the exploration of identity, gender, sexuality, and of course slime, told through the lens of a stereotypical "rpg adventure" setting (though it is not a litRPG)
overall, very cute. would recommend. it's not a very long read, so if you're decently quick you can knock this one out in a couple of hours. it's like a warm blanket if you're the type of person who resonates with any of the aforementioned topics (or if you're LGBTQ+ yourself).
    style: 4.5☆
the writing style is a little simplistic or stereotypical at times, and the story did not necessarily need to be in an adventure setting to work, but overall i quite enjoyed it. the constant POV shifting between chapters can get a bit jarring, especially with losing track of whom exactly is speaking and needing to go double-check the chapter title. for this and the aforementioned occasional stylistic simplicity i dock half a star.
    story: 4.5☆
very cute and warm plot, very progressive and accepting characters nake it a cozy read. however, i dock half a star because i feel like none of the characters really face any hardship. there is certainly trauma in their backstories, but we do not see those. there's hardly any obstacles for anyone to overcome other than a simple lack of knowledge. characters are at their most interesting when we see them succeeding under their own merit, rarher than passively winning. the plot could do with some conflict - perhaps Alla's family is not...
...quietly ignored in the background for the entire plot, before being executed for (presumably) being bigoted assholes, without us ever even seeing them once.
    grammar: 5☆
no discernable grammatical flaws. easy to read. prose can be simplistic at times but that is more of a style issue.
    characters: 4.5☆
although they do not experience much in the way of hardship throughout the plot, the characters are nevertheless well-written and interesting. and queer, usually. we do not get a good look into any of
