Jet Galleani is trying very hard to slip into her identity as a small-time assistant to the Mayor of San Francisco- a role far divorced from her previous life.
This reinvention is made more difficulty by the fight her new boss seems determined to pick: with the United States of America.
When an antithesis incursion floods the civic centre, the opportunity to fall back into old ways proves too tempting for Jet.
After all, California is going to need her latest vanguard to grow up fast, if she's going to affect the coming war: Cherry Bomb will have to move quick.

- CretinCreatesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This series really knows how to keep a reader interested. Between serious issues that reflect the ones made by real life billionaires and humor lie great sci-fi action. Very excited to see what direction the story goes!
Jet is a very charismatic lead, with her head on straighter than most others in the situation. Melon Usk provides a familiar character arc of a billionaire too rich for his own smarts, but the author breaths new life into it.
This author clearly knows how to use their voice in a way that keeps things really moving, and uses word choices very wisely that keeps everything going!
I'll be keeping my eye on this one closely. - Jemma TopazRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An excellent start to the story! Jet is likeable, and not instinctively a hero; but she gets there! The other characters are well-drawn; Olivia, in particular, is interesting—which makes me concerned for her life!
The one complaint I was going to make, about a certain character's name, is already explained as present in the source. The actual character is well drawn; unpleasant, but not cartoonishly so.
Very keen to read the next chapter!
