Moonlit Fantasy was a virtual reality game that had been shut down long ago after a series of lawsuits were launched against the developer's due to some in game features. The game's fans had recreated an illegal copy of the game and begun patching it themselves, because of this Moonlit Fantasy maintained a level of quality on par with even the newer releases despite over a decade having passed. Though this is, in part, due to the VRMMO genre having mostly peaked before Moonlit Fantasy was released.

Our protagonist, Roland, transmigrated into another world as his game character.
