Chaos Ascension

Chaos came, and we weren’t ready. Neither for the descent of the legends nor for the war. Nobody told us that World War 3 wouldn’t be among the Chinese, the American, and the Russian factions but between this world and the one next door. Pun Intended. Although, It did bring with it the kind of “System” we all fantasized about in manga and novels, So I guess it wasn’t all bad. At least for those of us who survived.

Due to a guidance session gone wrong, Maximus Callahan finds himself answering the trials of a unique origin. One that makes him extremely weak and strong simultaneously, like a king on a chessboard. He can kill no armies, yet he's the most important piece we have. Everyone knows he exists, yet no one knows who he is. He takes a step forward, and the world rushes forth; he takes one back, and the world stumbles down.

Note: This is not an easygoing light novel where all chips fall into place and the MC is overpowered, even down the line. You will love it if you like MC influencing events from the shadows with only few big players knowing him. Lastly, don't leave in 3-4 chapters, I'll recommend reading 20 to properly judge this. I have tried to make it realistic so it might not jump into the thick suddenly and our MC may not suddenly start being extremely intelligent even though a lot of strategy and story is involved in this novel.
