Description
As years went by and Earth evolved into a foreseen futuristic, sci-fi world, everything went through changes; the buildings, vehicles, weapons even the vegetation and animals didn't remain unscathed. Yet one thing stayed the same throughout all history, something indispensable for the human race, something no one could ever think of leaving out in their daily lives and yet being the very cause of human demise, work.During the whole change process not even once was the human work ethic thought of as a problem causing a rise in the demand for entertainment and distraction from the daily routines. Those a new game system called Virtual Reality was created, giving everyone the possibility to fully immerse in other worlds and escaping the trials of life.
Bao, threw himself in such a world but without thinking of the consequences of such a deed, for nobody asked themselves, what if life in this virtual world is better than reality and even worse what if the boundaries between the two become indistinct?

Ok, ok I'm done, I'm done. :D
Sorry, sorry. Let's go on with the review shall we?
Okay if you haven't notice from my obvious high-octave scream that I hope had been projected unto you by now, I have nothing. I mean NOTHING but a whole dang praise for the author.
Let me tell you only 5% of the whole novel that I ever read (and I had read around 25-30 millions word, maybe more) that managed to do the amazing —unbreaking immersivity. Long hours upon hours of true suspension of disbelief.
The author style served a delicate dance —a masterful balance between giving just enough description that leave the detail to each reader imagination thus strengthening the whole prose and the three-dimensionality of the MC inner thought; the guilt, the resolve, the dream. All blended with anticipation and plot, culminating in one unbroken thought stream that make me personally forget that I was reading.
The characters also so well-fleshed, the MC and his family by definition are what you call a normal, believable family. How a caring parent hampered by the existing healthcare system that deemed isolation was the best course of curing their son versus the perception of the son himself wondering why his family never visit him. The outburst scene, the guilt feeling he had been betraying, his resolve knowing what he choose to did, despite his family sacrifice. It was all to real.
For the other supporting characters, the ones that beside MC immediate family, is that the author lean heavily toward enigmatic personalities tropes, which while at the beginning was a little shaky (shaking the verisimilitude that's it), the author quick to redeem this misperception by expanding the cultural and personal reason behind such jarring gap. Which at the same time enriched and teased existence of bigger sub-lore, a bigger story of another whole culture of people behind them. And by then all that I can do is sitting, nodding in rapt attentio - BootyMongerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I read a couple of chapters and can only hope that the quality consists throughout the story, and so far it's been a fun read and good time waster definitely recommend. Of course, this is not the most original thing but it's always nice to read good, detailed isekai stories.
- librarysmilesRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The MC is a young male who is addicted to gaming.
The story starts out with the main character fully waking up to reality after a year of rehab.
I don't think what happens next is a spoiler: the MC joins a new game.
Now the MC has to balance hiding his gaming from his concerned parents and sister with actually interacting with his family.
I think it's quite obvious from the title that at some point the MC's real life will be impacted more directly by the game.
This story is well designed, and small grammar errors aside, probably deserves a higher score for having a technically well-done story.
However, this story makes me feel depressed about many addicts in real life.
