Description

Waking up with no memory in an abandoned institute is not a great start to anyone’s day. So, like any other person, you set off to find your way out, get your bearings, and find answers to why you were locked in a stasis pod in the first place. However, this place is not as abandoned as it may first seem.

Like any high-level science project gone wrong, artificial latex-like creatures are on the loose and the lone survivor (you) will undoubtedly see many of them along the way.

Changed - Awakening is a fanfic based on the game Changed. Although it’s not necessary to know the game, I personally recommend familiarizing yourself with it before reading this story. Transformations will occur.

    Following a clueless hooman having a few panic attacks, but mostly having a good time with dome semi-friendly goo.
    Pants not included (not lewd)
    Also less permanent than the base game seems to be.
    Needs slightly more cute stuff, you can never have enough cute stuff.
    Pet, cuddle and befriend them all.

    If you are a fan of the game this story is based on or the characters that came from it then you owe it to yourself to give this a read. Simple as. If you aren't, it's still a good read - I'd say "better than most of the site's content" but that feels like damning it with faint praise since it feels like half the site consists of generic "rising numbers go brr" game-lit stories or other stories focused on metaphorical level-grinding, and this story deserves better than that.
    I'm sure someone more discerning than myself might have nitpicks regarding grammar or plot choices or whatever. Me? I'm easy to please and managing to hook me enough to give it two consecutive read-throughs is a hell of an achievement, let alone the fact that this writer actually managed to complete this story in the first place. Seriously, online fiction websites are mass graves filled to bursting with the corpses of abandoned stories... but this one lived and persevered. This story's author should be proud of what he's created here.

    To condense everything down into a can of why I enjoy this story, it's breathing life into a series that's gaining some age. Give it a chance, it really dives into the characters you never really got to know about in the game, even if it's just the author's interpretation. It's also one of the biggest running fics out there for changed, you won't be dissapointed!
