Diocles was born to a family of Freed, former slaves who gained their freedom through merit. He lived his little mundane life without any complaint. Toiling the lands of their local landlord alongside his father and brothers, harvesting crops with his mother, and playing with his little siblings at the plains of their agri-world.

This is how he lived.

However, deep inside him, a burning desire for more gnaws at his very inside. With each passing moment making the desire harder and harder to suppress. He knows he is destined for more than this, not just being a farmer and dying old without any real accomplishments. For that reason alone, he took the risk and decided to gamble it all once the opportunity arose to sign himself up as a soldier at the Solaris Galactic Army.
