I write this so that you may know the reason for the end of our age, the breaking of the Order of the Arcane and their gods, and the truth of the Celestial Forge. His tale begins where it must, with his grandfather. When his grandfather's dark past resurfaced, the life Schin knew and loved was destroyed. The path he was bound to would shape the fate of his world, for better or worse.

This story is such a treat! An interesting take on a cultivation with a rich world and all written on the perspective of the main character looking back.
The world building is clearly really well thought out, with so many intricacies and secrets that shows the author's passion. Just don't expect to many answers, as it's slowly being explained in a way it leaves you wanting more.
The writing structure also collaborates to this, as the narrator oftentimes knows the answers and comments on the story to tell us informations we need to know but the mc doesn't yet have. But most of the times he won't :3
The bite sized chapters are really practical to read as well.

So far, this story has a good start, and I'm glad that I decided to give it a chance.
The writing and grammar are okay, but I would say that the author uses a lot of made up terminology which hinders my understanding of what is going on. I assume it will be explained later but for now it's kind of confusing. Another editing pass wouldn't hurt either.
The MC hasn't really gotten a chance to develop yet, but the characters are pretty good so far.
In terms of plot summary, the story starts after the MC has already finished an adventure of some sort. He is spending time with his grandfather when they get attacked by the grandfather's former allies. After some fighting, the MC realizes that his grandfather had a dark past and was not always the kind man he seems to be.
If you're looking for a western Xuanhuan story with a unique magic system, I recommend you give this story a try. I look forward to coming back to this when there are more chapters.
