Cassy the Clowns Big Top Bonanza (An SCS Fan-Fic)
Community Rating
Description
Cassandra just wanted to make people laugh, and spread smiles. With a joy in her sights, and a spring in her shiny red shoes, she set about resurrecting from the dust of the antithesis apocalypse, the motley outfits and antics, of the greatest smile makers ever: Clowns!!
Sadly, fate had different plans, she would have to make clowning around her side job, as she gets recruited into the ranks of the world protecting Vanguard. Come along as she and her assortment of strange allies, human, Vanguard, and otherwise, try to balance joy making with weeding the garden of the apocalypse.
It is important to note, the only canons here are confetti cannons. None of this is canon to the original works, and honestly may not even be canon to itself. Cassy is chaotic, Cassy is fun, Cassy cares not for your canon, nor for crunchy numbers. If you have come for chapters about catalogues and point totals, you won't find them. You may find some of Cassy's side shows though! Other samurai, often just getting their start, for a chapter or two.
Updates and new content will be whenever inspiration hits the author, maybe tomorrow, maybe a year from now. Not even Cassy knows!
As stated in the title, the contents herein are fan fiction. In particular of Stray Cat Strut by Ravens dagger.

Also a huge thank you shout out to WackyWombat the author of my favourite SCS Fan-Fic, TBoB, and the crazy crew on her discord. Wacky and the gang encouraged me to start writing, and enter a couple things in a contest. And now to post them all here. (TBoB link Below)

Final note, way down here. If you are a fellow SCS fan, writing your own Fan-Fic, feel free to use any characters I make as cameos or mentions to help flesh out the background or whatnot. Just toss me a heads-up so I can check it out.

- EndarilRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0SCS and all its fanfics are fun, with each bringing something unique to the universe. Cassy brings much needed whimsy and wonder, the author really takes advantage of all the chaos that SCS can have. Cassy hits especially hard for me as I’ve been scared of clowns since watching poltergeist as a kid, for me to enjoy it this much is truly a testament to the authors ability tell their vision of a chaotic whimsical clown.
- JeslikRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0crazy fun. Which, I feel I must say, is not what first comes to mind when I think of clowns.
My brother and I both had a mobile floating over our crib lo those many (many) years ago, classic french clowns in pierrot cone hats and pantaloons, and those creatures of fake smiles and mockery have given me more than one nightmare over the years. I am really not a fan of clowns.
That lack of affection for clowns hasn't been helped by the common, and even stereotypical portrayal throughout modern media, of clowns as creepy disturbing, menacing painted villains.
But I want to be clear - Cassy is awesome. Each chapter is itself a gem. However.... this story is not coherent, it doesn't exactly flow from chapter to chapter, but dances episode to episode while squirting you with plastic flowers, blithely forcing the reader to ignore the blackouts between chapters, (just exactly the way a freaky disturbed clown would, you know they're out to get you).
I can only imagine that the missing pieces are the periods where she's stalking and dismembering human criminals, exactly like a face-painted Dexter, converting their innards to balloon animals, then merrily travelling on her way. Whether she is conscious of her clown serial killer activities, I haven't decided... I'll leave you to be the judge....
Anyway, 5 stars, keep it light and fluffy, and bring the story together with some bits in the middle, so my subconscious doesn't have to imagine the horrible things she's doing when we aren't part of the narrative... - TenerifeBlueRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Bwahahahaah! This book has quickly earned a place on my must read when updated list.
It may not be substantial but it is full of deep fried sugary goodness that is a delight to the senses. I ended each chapter with a grin on my face.
Well done. I am looking forward to the next installment. - TheWackyWombatRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0While most of the SCS Fan fictions are long, and generally dark stories, Cassy is just a series of light hearted short stories.
What if a clown, who wanted to bring joy to children gained access to the most advanced technology in the universe? Chaos, but at least it's light hearted chaos.
Is it 100% in line with SCS? No, but it is fun! - TheoWolfRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Before I review this story I have a terrible secret i must confess.
You see... I don't like clowns. At most I've always found them... uninteresting at worst mildly off putting. And for that reason, it took me much longer to read this story than it should have.
See, i first learned about cassy the clown from the SCS contest, where i read the first chapter had a light chuckle and moved on. "Clowns aren't my thing so I'll pass" i thought to myself. And so I did.
Not once, not twice, but almost a half fdozen times, i passed on reading this. See the SCS fan community shares eachothers tales a lot. They talk about the other fan stories that inspired them, or cameo eachothers characters and link to those tales in turn.
And FullAutoAlices work, cassy the clown kept popping up everywhere. It seemed like Every SCS fan story i read would at some point inevitably link to this story. And so it was that eventually i decided that if so many stories i had loved every moment of kept linking to this story... maybe even if i didn't think it was for me, i should give it a shot anyways.
I was wrong. This story was very much for me. The writing is brilliant constantly striking a delicate balance between "clowning around" and telling serious heartfelt stories about a cast of characters that just want to bring a little joy to a world that is sorely lacking in reasons to smile.
The stories range from chaotic and hilarious to heartwarming and sweet. Some are a little dark or spooky but never grim. Every tale is a piece of a whole that tells a story of sharing joy in the face despair and aims to remind us that as long as there is laughter there is hope.
I found myself deeply invested in the characters and world that FullAutoAlice had crafted even in moments too zany to maintain suspension of disbelief. In fact the only weakness this story has is that there's not more of it.
It's more a collection of little one shots and moments in time that come together to make a bigger whole than it is a
