- RexorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As a continuation of the previous work, this story keeps carrying the torch forward in a very similar way.
Style: it got even better! I've been following this author for more than a year and I can tell he's improved.
Story: if you liked the prequel, you'll like the sequel. Maybe even more. It's that good. I never thought court life could be this entertaining.
Grammar: not much to say. A few minor typos and other things that could be done better, but otherwise nearly perfect.
Characters: they managed to find a special place in my heart. Especially Elise. What I thought to be yet another token to show the MC's strength turned out to be her own thing. Roric is growing even more in this one, and I'm very curious about the mage girl who's being introduced. - sabazurcRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is entertaining action/fantasy filled with magic, battles and some mysteries. Not much else to say, if you love fantasy, action and if you are a bit bored with some Chinese xianxia or Japanese novels like I am you will like this.
- Chevalier_9292Royal Road★ 1.0The first book was ok in the grand scheme of things but book 2 went downhill.
To much coincidences, to many characters do things just because of plot armor it all feels like a mechanical copy paste story from a straight to DVD buy 1 take 3 bin.
Spoiler: Spoiler
The necro attacked a far away kingdom that belonged to the princess the MC returned with because of no reason not even plot armor stupid example is given.
The king banishes him while giving him a task to seek out a master cuz why not, the princes hates him now just because he hid his powers cuz we must have a plot armor reunion/drama
master has some plot armor connection with the necromancer and trains the MC even though he rejected the MC several times just because he hears the necros name.
I will also add that for some reason the princess wants to learn how to fight and not govern(plot armor for her to be saved by the MC) just because of some stupid last wish
The only thing that i find somewhat real is the mage girl.
Below you will find the plot armor concidences for the first story regarding the princess
The princess(that didnt know she was a princess, was taken way by a loyal advisor that swore to keep her safe and never return her unless called but even tought the kingdom was safe she was never recalled for some reason) happend to be saved by the MC from bandits.
the pricess loyal adviser tested the MC and found him worthy to protect the princess.
Advisors dies soon after due to plot armor sickness and entrustes the princess to the MC while sending an atempt to contact the kingdom.
The bandits return and ask for small for tribute but the stupid princess provokes them in order to be plot armored saved by the MC.
Then soon after the kingdom rescue team arives right after the final battle and takes the princess back.
