Brutally honest - I'm not hooked yet.  Out of all the characters so far, I like the brainless yappy dog the best.  But I have hopes for this story, so I'm giving it a 5/5 review placeholder.
Grammar is good, nothing that would make a grammar nazi declare total war against the author.
Style is fine.  The blue boxes make sense, and everything else is the mc pov.
Story and worldbuilding are also good.  What background info we have been given so far is consistent.
Characters are iffy.  I'm not saying anything bad about them.  In fact, the side characters are interesting.  But I'm not emotionally invested much in the main character.  This appears to be a deliberate choice by the author, as we don't know if Bubba is a good boy or not.
I'm following this story to find out.
