Byron's Ascent

Since the rise of the system billions of years ago on a war torn world, it has slowly, but surely, been bringing the rest of the multiverse under its wing. With the system come many benefits including the opportunity for mere mortals to rise and seize immortality for themselves. However, it also brings great danger and hardship. Bryon, a simple office worker, is thrown headfirst into this brutal world after being betrayed by a close friend and given an ominous warning from the system instelf. Will he rise from a lowly pawn to Godhood or will he be yet another name on the system's long list of victims?
