Absolutely love this series! It's not boring, I can't just predict what's going to happen. Who's the good or bad guy's. Who's an Ally or enemy, who knows. The finding out what the MC's past is, is a fantastic part of this story. The war crimes goblin is my favorite comedy bit in this. Can you solve everything with a shotgun arm? I crushed all 1600+ pages of this in less than 5 days, can't wait for more. Just wish there was some story art of the characters to help with visualization of the story.

This is very good.
I am coming into this story after the authors other story "Demonic Magician" had run it's course. I will say that this fiction is better, in my opinion, than the other one.
My favourite parts of this story is how well it does the balancing act between hyper violence hero work, and relaxing downtime banality. One thing I have always enjoyed in comics are those glimpses into the hero's alter ego and the problems that can't be solved by punching them.
It is this balancing act that keeps things fresh for the reader. It doesn't linger overly long on any one part. If the whole story was shooting and brooding, it would be boring. If it was just the downtime and inter personal romance, it would be boring.
Another fun thing is also a juxtaposition. Our protagonist is a dark edgy gun toting anti-hero. The enemies he fights are basically all silver and golden age comic book villains. Gritty realism vs over the top 'whatever sticks to the wall' oddball. It's great.
Well worth the time invested in reading!

First of all, the strong cybernetically enhanced protag is a big plus for me.
Then the fact that the guy chooses to stay outside of the entire hero V.S. villain circus draws me really in.
The interactions between him and Rockslide make it even better.
Now I’m just waiting on him getting better tech. I always love a good tech-reliant protag in a world of superpowers. Tinkers barely count, BTW.
One last thing. The combat scenes are great!

The stoic MC shows hints of a hidden away past. The bubbly superhero Roxy has her own mysteries. And Clara is my absolute favourite despite only appearing in two chapters till now.
There's great world building that's fed to us through the story, rather than exposition dumps.

I love romance a lot, and this book has a cute and interesting dynamic. Anti-hero and well, she isn't necessarily an anti-hero but she isn't really the standard Super either. The world is also very interesting and I want to learn more about it. The weird flirt-fighting between some of the characters is also super funny, and the sisterhood dynamic is charming. But this is definitely an action packed and bad-ass story so don't be misled by my review.

Rarely does a fiction handle multiple genres and the transition well. This one goes from noir feeling cyborg loner to part of a supers team. And it is nice and gradual. Along the way, plenty of funny innuendo, some light romance, and many high powered fights. Also, several developing mysteries keep me engaged.
My only criticism was, there for awhile the MC pushed his luck a bit too much in a couple of fights, back to back.

This story started off a little slow and repetitive but it makes sense as you continue reading why that was. The buildup is slow, but once it got started, it feels a little like a boulder rolling down a hill. The action continues, but intrigue and romance are added to the mix. The overall arching story I think is done well, though a few parts may feel cliche, I think they were done well. It’s a fun and enjoyable read. Excitedly looking forward to the rest.

This is the second Kleggt story I've reviewed, and it is by far the superior.Our MC Agent W is a hitman. He has cyborg/mechanical augmentations including a shotgun for an arm. He receives his contracted targets from an unknown "Boss" and he rolls out and kills them, rinse and repeat. That's been his life for the five years prior to the story when his memories begin.Who was he before that? We don't know, because W doesn't know.Who's his "Boss"? Don't know.Is W alive or a mechanically revived undead? Don't know.Is W a Hero? Villain? Don't know but probably the answer is a little of both?Will W ever take a bath? Probably not?It seems that answering these questions will be the main plot of Built Different. Along with him becoming more of a nuanced human being as he begins interacting with the muscle-girl Superhero that moved in next door. All while he is running around the city like a maniac killing people and getting shot full of holes.So far, very fun story, and surprisingly relatable characters.
