Description

After 12 years of being in foster care, Diana Watson has had enough of the failing system. She is moved into her 23rdfamily: the Fields, with two parents and four sons. While the parents are kind to her, providing her with a beautiful home and her own room, the sons seem to see her as some sort of pest. Diana’s mental strength is crumbling under their hatred, adding on to the past decade of trauma.

Some very interesting themes being discussed, it leaves me both simultaneously uncomfortable and intrigued. It's the equivalent of a watching a melodramatic car-crash in slow motion.
I think with some editing, it could improve especially with the pacing and characterization at certain parts. But all in all an enjoyable read, some sections, especially the beginning, were sluggish to get through though.

I posted a different review earlier but now that the story is done i can finally give a valid opinion about the book!
i peesonally LOVED IT. it was very emotional and intriguing. i was always left wondering what happened next and i related to the story in some ways.
Style: i like the 1st person POV and the different POVs, though there are times when i felt like it jumoed around a bit. very descriptive and emotional tho! I personally found the beginning interesting but i can see why a wider audience would have a hard time getting thru it
Story: story was great, loved the different ups and downs! there were some chaoters that felt unnecessary, like fillers, and some parts that dragged. i feel like author can trim the fat a bit in the next version. but it was well written iverall and made me cry in some parts
Grammar: I said this before but im not thr best at grammar, so ill just say it looks good to me XD
Characters: I like all the characters and their development. the MC gets stronger and braver throughout the story which i apreciated. i do feel like theres too many though, definitely see if u can cut iut some since tgere were a lot. but pretty good overall!
so glad i finished, cant wait to see the sequel or prequel if you have one!
