Volume 2: Corrupter of Games is on a brief hiatus. Back soon!

Meet Liam! He’s an ordinary guy with an extraordinary to do list:

1. Wake up.2. Become OP and reboot the entire world.3. Maybe coffee?

Imagine waking up to a day governed by an unhinged quantum AI capable of bending space, matter, and time to its will. This AI catapults you into the distant future, only to find Earth transformed into a dystopian video game landscape. Your mission? To reboot the world server and navigate a reality so twisted it defies logic.

Sound like an average Tuesday? Didn't think so.

Armed with wits, rusty weapons, and a Boy Scout honor badge of sarcasm, Liam must level up, battle monsters, and solve mind-bending puzzles. It's a wild ride where the future is not just at stake—it's been completely rewritten. And somehow, in this pixelated chaos, he's Earth's last shot at a reset. Welcome to his reality.

This isn't just a game. It's a quest to unfuck the future.

Wow, snarky, snarky, snarky. I think that is the very best word to describe the tone of this story (and it is one of my favorite words, so no complaints here!). We have a snarky main character, a snarky system, snarky side characters and a lacing, hilarious humor that seems to both poke fun at the events while unfolding them. Honestly, I haven’t read a sarcastic LitRPG like this before. It’s alluring and a little brain twisting. Well done.
I think one of the best compliments I can pay the writer is to speak of how we discover the system and world through the MC’s eyes. There’s no info dump. We’re literally just as confused as the character as things begin to unfold. I thought it was well done and a tribute to good writing. Excellent.
There were no grammatical errors or anything that tripped me up or made me stop short while I was reading. The writing flows naturally—very much a casual, light read. Really, it’s just a fun, laughing ride that’s well worth the time to follow! Might want to check it out especially if you’re into LitRPG. You’ll get all the jokes, which only makes them all the better. :)

Enjoyable action, lots of quick and funny dialogue, and the pace is wild. The perspective comes across really strong throughout the writing. Liam Beaumont is a very distinct character and you can tell that while the writing is humorous and full of quick jokes, there's a story being told here. Definitely recommend.

    Overall:
Overall, breaker of games is an entertaining read that will appeal to all those who love fantasy, gaming, and adventures. With its engaging protagonist, action, humor and world. I truly finds myself following the story as it progresses.
    Story:
Breaker of games follows the journey of Liam who found himself trapped in a game world with one task in hand, to reboot the system so sh*t could go back to normal. Easy, right? RIGHT? Give it a try and you'll see for yourself.
The story is driven by a blend of action, humor, and suspence, and it kept me engaged throughout my reading. And I still crave more, and will try to finish all the available chapters even with my tight scheduled.
    Characters:
One of the greatest strengths of Breaker of games lies in characters. I found myself laughing so hard at 2 AM in the morning reading through the story. Liam Beaumont is introduced in a relatable manner, which drew me almost immediately. His inner monologue showcases his wits and sarcasm, which makes his character more enjoyable to follow.
And then there is the system. I have read a fair amount of LitRPGs in my life, and this is by the far the most entertaining one yet. The system's notifications alone made me giggle whenever I recall some of the messages that it sent Liam. MILK is one, omg that line caught so off guard.
    Style
The writing style is casual and conversational, which suits the protagonist's personality well. The use of humor throughout the chapter kept the narrative engaging and entertaining. However, there are instances where the humor might feels a bit forced, such as the banter between Liam and Leech about their names. But overall, it is entertaining to read.
    Grammar
I have found nothing that needed editing, and grammar is consistent. TimWLong50, the author, made sure his chapters are clean before posting them, which is something I appreciate.

Style: Very descriptive for its actions and setting, which sets the scene well. The character dialogues are also snappy and short, greatly highlighting the quick and witty style that the author is trying to accomplish, so well done!
Story: Much like what the other reviews have said, I had fun. The constant vulgarities, jokes and references made for a surprising yet highly enjoyable read. They also helped to lighten the more tedious aspects of the world-building, like how the system messages are filled with meta humour to enhance its descriptions. There are also hints of serious drama brewing behind the scenes, and I do hope that the story can balance its humour and drama well when the story becomes more complex.
Grammar: No major errors that I can see.
Character: I love Liam, he's the type of no-nonsense MC who literally doesn't give a damn about his mission, and not because he's OP like so many others, but because he just doesn't. That makes him incredibly chaotic and memorable, along with all the other characters so far.
Overall, I love the crude humour that turns an otherwise boring story into an insanely fun one. Interesting characters, witty dialogue and good world-building are all neatly packaged into one story, sprinkled with relatable humour and fun references to pop culture. Will definitely keep reading!

This is a 5/5 for me. Fantastic writing, great characters, humorous dialogue, and an engaging plot to tie it all together. TimWLong50 is doing something really special and his writing deserves its accolades. I expect we'll see a lot more praise and recognition flowing this way as new chapters continue to pour in.
I have had such a good few days diving into this story. It reminds me of when I was reading through Terry Pratchett's Discworld series for the first time and chuckling along with every page.
The humour in this prose is sarcastic and absurd. It rises out of the dialogue and increasingly bizarre situations the MC is being asked to deal with. I think its primary success that keeps it from feeling forced, is that no single element of the story is overburdened with carrying the funny tone forward. It is balanced well, and drip fed through many small interactions. The dialogue between the characters is bickering, full of pop culture references, and frequently prone to misunderstanding. The thought process of the MC is dynamic. His reactions are often comedically relatable and extreme. The system itself is all over the place and the world it has created seems like a fantasy setting that was left to ferment in its own rotten juices for too long, turning a bit ridiculous and funky in the process. The fantastic tone of the story is formed up of all of these small elements working together in concert to become more than the sum of their parts. It is an incredibly refreshing reading experience, I have to say.
What's more, you can feel a greater depth behind the story and the characters. While the story is comedic, I found myself genuinely investing in and caring about Liam's journey through this crazy game, and there seems like a lot of scope to grow and uncover more. None of the characters here are two dimensional, perhaps with the exception of Stabby McStabbyface, but who knows what fonts of nuance and yearning might lie untapped beneath his homicidal demeanour. Excellent character interactions and narrative voice! I’m having a wonderful time reading so far - the exposition has purpose, and the author creates a unique style of their own.
Style: Well done, no complaints here – only praise. The narration is from Liam’s point of view. The story is well paced, has lots of snarky humor, and plenty of topical references. At some points, I felt like the proverbial cologne was laid on a little thick, but honestly not a dealbreaker by any means. Many would probably enjoy the strong writing style.
Grammar: Nothing worth mentioning. Doesn’t slow you down.
Story: I like it so far. There are unique elements to the litRPG and the author makes the genre their own. There’s plenty of familiar themes, but also plenty of breadcrumbs to keep up wanting to read more. Worldbuilding is also off to a good start, and the settings we’ve seen so far have playful references and imagery. I’ll be looking forward to see how the story develops.
Characters: The characters are made very well. I’m a big fan of our friendly (?) neighborhood pimp AI. For some reason, I got pulp fiction vibes (maybe misplaced), but was having a wonderful time with the interaction. That’s one among many interactions so far, and they all feel composed, like lyrics. On one side this is good dialogue-ing, but it also means that if every interaction is poignant, nothing truly stands out. Just food for thought
    Would recommend!

This story is an incredibly good parody of the LitRPG genre.
Style: The story's style is very good. The author's way of writing is unique. In addition to that, the author's word choice is able to convey the tone the author wants to. The literary device of imagery is used to do that same thing too.
Story: The story is paced at exactly the rate it needs to be paced at. It also develops at the proper rate too. The story itself is a parody of the LitRPG genre and a very good one at that. It is genuinely hilarious, and there are plenty of funny moments in it. There are many jokes in it that land perfectly. And I can safely say that the story is insane in a very good way.
Grammar: There might be some grammatical errors. But if they are, they aren't major enough to be distracting.
Character: The characters are hilarious. Their humor is perfectly on point, and they are all very interesting too. The characters all fit the story as well and are perfectly in place for its style and tone. The characters are all very well depicted too.
To sum things up, I highly recommend this story.

    I love it!
That would be my review. Simple and easy to understand, you don't need to read more just go and read the damn story!
For anyone else who wants a more detailed review, fine, you don't need it but I'll do it.
This is the funniest sh-- I read on RR EVER! I couldn't stop laughing. It was THAT GOOD. I don't know if the author is a pro comedian or something but the jokes, the follow-up, the execution of the joke.....Mind blown.
Don't get me wrong this is not just "ha-ha-ha it is funny go read." NO! It is much more, the pacing is perfect, the characters are awesome, the way of writing, his style works great with everything mentioned, I can't wait to continue reading it.
The Grammar and style are very nice and easy to follow.
This is a hilariously entertaining story filled with unexpected twists, humorous dialogues, and a protagonist whose antics will leave you in stitches.
His interactions with other characters add a refreshing layer of humor, and unexpected turns that kept me guessing what will happen next!
I can say for sure that I am a fan. Keep up the good work, and you, go read!!

A hilarious LitRPG, providing a nice twist to the usual, more serious LitRPG books, while maintaining all the nice tropes that fans of the genre love. The character's initial confusion at the sudden appearance of an extremely and hilariously snarky system is slowly cleared as more information is revealed over the chapters, which perfectly mirrors our own experience as the readers as we see the MC progress through the story. Combined with the humour, it makes for an extremely immersive reading experience!
This is a must read for any lovers of the genre!
Grammar: I couldn't spot any issues, so even if there are a couple, it doesn't detract from the smooth reading experience at all, so all good for me!
Style: Absolutely love the humour and how it keeps us engaged and entertained throughout the chapters, so I would rate it full points :)
Character: The MC is extremely relatable, with his frustration and confusion perfectly depicted through the flawless writing. Completely perfect if you ask me! I would love to see the development of more characters as well though, so looking forward to read more and seeing how it all turns out.
Story: Fun and entertaining and interesting... can you ask for more?? I am going to try to read more chapters to see how our lovely MC is going to find his way through this new world with his system!

This is a very promising start to a story!
Style: The style of this story is probably one of its main selling points for most people. It is very irreverent/snarky and is definitely focused on humor. The main character's internal monologue makes up much of the writing, and if you enjoy that kind of casual and humorous style, this story is definitely for you.
Grammar: I didn't notice too many grammar errors I don't think. Might have been a couple typos along the way but it didn't slow me down any if there were.
Story: The story is progressing at a pretty natural feeling pace to me; I like stories that get off to a quick start and I think maybe the opening could be tightened to gloss over some of the MC's life details and get into things sooner, but those details might be coming up later as things that are important.
Characters: The motivations of the MC are a little bit different than some isekai stories, since he's basically given a challenge that he thinks is going to be short term, and then he'll just be back home with the rewards. Due to that it might lack some of the tension that some stories have, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I look forward to seeing where this story goes!
