Like BoC, this stories writing quality is amazing.
Story-wise it's lighthearted and funny, with some serious moments thrown in, just like BoC.
I actually like this story even more than BoC, since it has a bit more actual cultivation and the MC actually knows stuff about cultivation and the wider world instead of floundering blindly.
That's actually my main problem with BoC, since I don't like MCs who are ignorant about cultivation and related matters and willingly remain that way, despite living in a xianxia world.

I would not expect many chapters so quickly but that being said that would create expectations and be more enjoyable.
What I like of this novel is that we see other parts of the universe that we dont see usually in the main novel. This only is worth the read.

This alternate story or timeline deserves it's own book eventually in my opinion. Personally I really enjoy harem elements in my Xianxia/Cultivation novels.
Casualfarmer continues to impress me with amazing characters and a story that grips me. Yearning ever more for just one more chapter. I look forward to learning more about the Wings past, Shen Tianzhe Rou's future Deer Cultivation of Wood and Stone, and the exploration of Casualfarmer's wider world of BOC.

This brings me back to BOC vol 1~2, which isn't overloaded with banters. At first, I thought this would be just a fun read to pass the time but how foolish of me. Before knowing it, I had fall in love with it, however it breaks my heart knowing that this isn't the main story so the likelyhood for it becoming a full-fledged story is miniscule

I wasn't expecting it but this lives up to the original series and only adds to the world building and adds more characters to love. Seeing Jin actually pursuing cultivation in his own way instead of running from it is fantastic. I hope CasualFarmer continues this side series and gets it published as well, it really is good enough to stand side by side with Beware of Chicken.

yes, i tried this out only because i loved the beware of chicken story. Honestly a great story in its own right. Reincarnation xanxia with a bit of tongue and cheek. The dialogue is great, the people aren't one dimension, the MC is not obnoxious and the comedic parts are done well. I hope the author continues this story!

This is a comedy of hilarious proportions, especially if you read the original first.
Fun, entertaining and just so many laughs. So many laughs.
It's a lot less serious that the normal story, but it's a great break from the normal pace, and is a good example of how fun it can be to read about serious characters in a more comedic setting.
