An amazing story with diverse and lively characters and surprisingly well written prose. I highly recommend everyone to give it a try.My only critiques so far are two-fold:1) Many of the descriptions feel excessive, repeatedly describing the same thing in different words and creating walls of text which greatly slow the pacing.2) Character's subjective thoughts and views sometimes shift into objective descriptions by the author within the same sentence/paragraph without any clear separation where one ends and the other begins. While easily ignored, kind of ruins the immersion as I sometimes find myself rereading the same paragraph trying to understand where did the character get that info only to realize that it is just a little bit of lore dumping by the author that came out of nowhere. These are minor points which can easily be ignored when reading and, if anything, show how good the story is as in more that 2 dozen chapters I ended up with only a couple of minor complaints. But, if I were to provide some possible areas of improvement, I would provide these two as IMO their improvement could greatly benefit the story. In any case, best of luck to the author, as I hope this story continues to impress.

I forgot what I was doing and completely lost track of time once I startedBloodtide Rising. Yes, it is that good. It’s the sort of fantasy that keeps you scrolling the pages so you can’t remember what day it is or what was on your to-do list.I’m not sure if it’s the first-person narrative or the exceptional prose, but every line is so well-written that my eyes just kept floating from paragraph to paragraph.Story: I’m unfamiliar with Elder Scrolls, so I didn’t know what to expect. I wasn’t sure if a fan fiction based on a game would have leveling up and complex systems to keep track of, but I found nothing like that in this book. No, what makes it so engaging is the story telling. Kaius faces challenges and circumstances that take twists and turns, but the prose guides us through them with ease, though they are not easy for the character. I never knew what was coming next, but I was led on the journey step by step in an effortless flow. It is easy to follow, though I had no prior knowledge of the world or its setting.Character: Kaius’ first-person narrative is so well crafted that I can say this is one of the strongest fantasies I’ve read on Royal Road.Grammar: There are minor issues like commas, but the author is quick to make necessary corrections garnering a five-star rating from me. It’s simple punctuation that doesn’t interrupt the flow of the story.Style: Zero concerns about the style. Everything about formatting, prose, and presentation is top notch, and the author notes give us history and context lending value and depth as well as relatability. This is a book I will happily Follow for the long haul. Thank you, Tyranidlord, for writing such an engaging story.

I cannot fathom why this fiction does not already have thousands of followers. The prose and character development are amazing and the pacing and battle scenes are among the best I've read.It s not often I feel that a story has been written just for me. Bloodtide Rising has almost every element I enjoy in a story; believable and flawed protagonist, correctly paced and not overly done romance, and incredibly written battle scenes. This has got to among the top fictions I've read on RR.And I've read more than a few.

I never thought I’d see myself pick up a fan fiction, especially for a video game I’ve never played, but this one had me hooked from the first chapter. Tyranilord is not just telling a story, he’s crafting something unique, an impressive feat given that it’s rooted in a premade universe. Nevertheless, the story oozes imagination, from the detail of weapons and arms, which I have good reason to suspect the author paid great mind to stamp his own flair on, to the complicated political landscape and depth of character relationships. What I find most satisfying about this story is how patient it is. Nothing is rushed, no detail spared. Instead, we are invited to settle in and get comfortable, to become immersed in a world that will be familiar to some and new to others. Can’t wait to see where this journey goes!

I have absolutely loved this story and I am eagerly awaiting new chapters. This is definitely not a retelling of oblivion. It's a much more fleshed out world that feels genuinely lived in. The lore is impeccable and leaves you with the sense that there's limitless depths while not feeling overwhelming. The humor is perfectly placed and not overwhelming it perfectly complements the darker tones that the author uses. This is also dark fantasy, it shows a lot of the dark side of the characters who are not heros by nature most of the time. Struggling against their nature is actually a major part of the story. Furthering this point the descriptions of combat are graphic though not too gratuitous abd the depictions of injury are very realistic. No man nor mer is going to just shrug off getting shot in the chest with a crossbow or getting thrown off a cliff. Debilitating injuries are treated as Debilitating. The romance is extremely well done and paced in a way that makes sense to the main characters as neither is prone to flights of fancy. If you enjoy game of thrones, lord of the rings, blade, or vampire the masquerad this is a book you need to read.

This author writes in such a detailed manner, his prose are something I might find in a mainstream novel. And yes, although some the grammar might feature typos, our entrepid author's skill with weaving words features much talent!I can hear every rattle of armor and taste the iron of splattered blood. You truly feel you are standing in Tameriel, more than playing an immersive video game, much more!My only complaint and what's keeping it from a full 5 stars, was that I felt the pacing was grindingly slow. I could swear the chapters went on forever, even though Ive read longer on Royal Road. But, this author is top 100 in terms of writing skills on this site and shouldn't be passed up
