Bloodsworn

Description
The Dragons have been slain, the Giants pacified and the Elves have retreated to the depths of the old growth forests. The Dwarven forges quenched and stilled. Magic has fled from the world as the Empire of Man stands firm and tall above all with their mastery of technology. Until Essence ignites, filling the world with the old powers of myth and legend.
Essence, Damnation, and the System, an Unholy Trinity.
Erak doesn’t care about any of it. His Oaths have been etched into his Blood and the Weight that Essence has given them has only strengthened them. He serves his Queen, her shield, her sword, her guardian. Cut off from her as portals rip open the skies of their world, releasing a storm of demons upon the Empire, he will reach her side.
Liberating museum artifacts from the Conquering, Erak is determined to cut his way to his Queen, regardless of every legion in Hell standing in his way. Rallying survivors, soldiers, civilians, and scholars together, he’s not letting anyone stop him until he’s by his Queen’s side again. For he is the BloodSworn and nothing shall stop him from honoring his Oaths.
What To Expect: Action. LOTS AND LOTS OF ACTION
Inspired By: All the readers and critics who hate developing characters and them having emotions beside rage. I’m joking (kinda).
Truly inspired by the great characters of Doomguy, Master Chief, and Kratos.
This will be my Writathon entry. Postings will be as fast and frequently as possible once it starts.

- coalmine overlordRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Like the description of the novel say this book is a very action packed adventure. It is very reminiscent of the doom games and I can see where the author is going with the mc’s build, and it looks great. I would highly recommend giving the book a shot, the chapters are short but so action packed it leaves you craving more.
- ccaramanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Author promised an action packed story, and he delivers! And then adds some more of that and sprinkles some violence on top.
Imagine doom guy gets teleported to a medieval like city that is being overun by demons that brought magic with them. Oh and also doom guy can get stronger by killing demons and raising his level and stats.
TLDR just read it - CougarBaitRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Just started binging this, so far it is exactly what the blurb says it is. Well written and action packed. I appreciate the simplicity of the MC and enjoy all the growth/fighting. Thanks for the story and will continue to binge as you keep writing!! Need more words so, words!
- EmpireofTrustRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0OPMC litrpg system apocalypse.
The sky's are weeping blood as black blooded demons swarm from a rift in the middle of a party celebrating the opening of a museum in the kings grounds.
The bloodsworn is on the wrong side of the rift in the city from his bond.
Nothing gets in his way.
Everything that can be used for him to get there will be as he murders demons that impede him.
The numbers and screens swamp his view as enemies crowd to test his spear, shield, armour and will.
His blood sings, battle with chances of worthy foes, the blood sings. - KeltoiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Perfectly channels Doomguy and early Kratos. Love the silent MC, is a great nod to old school games. The pacing is great, it does not linger overly long on any one part. No major spelling or editorial issues. It is a very enjoyable read full of rage and bloodlust. Highly recommend.
- SUrvivetheageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A brutal world with a more brutal mc can’t get enough if you love glorious battle this ones for you!
A huge world with a cool back story that is slow unfolding.
Awesome system simple but rewarding progression.
Interesting side characters with their own unique flavor.
Political influence and intrigue not to much my cup of tea but it has its place.
Magitech galor mixed with modern warfare
Happy reading 👍 - SagaScribeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An ode to OP unrelenting MC's.
The only direction Erak knows is forward. He will stop at nothing to reach his Queen. No demon, hellspawn, wall, nothing will stand in his way to fulfill his Oaths. Every step cracks stone with determination, and his path is carved through carnage and chaos.
Erak (MC) is an unforgettable blend of Doom guy, Kratos, and a strongman who didn't get to eat his wheaties in the morning. The supporting characters shine too. Not to spoil, but the professor and side fighters that join Erak as more than just background noise. They are all unique and formidable in their own right. Personal favorite goes to the professor.
Magic system is easy to follow, well developed, and we're still learning as we go. It adds depth to every battle and the power system is unique while still being true to the themes of the story.
Worldbuilding is top-notch, with a landscape killed with challenges often involving ass kicking.
Enemies are creative, terrifying, powerful, and push Erak to his limits.
This story is more than an epic clash of steel and sorcery, there’s much more here that is still developing as the world gets built out.
Bloodsworn is a relentless thrill that you won't want to miss. - ZecatatuRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What would you expect from a badass MC? Tall, strong, wearing armor that weighs tons, with the strength to break demons with his bare hands? This novel has all of that and of course... the MC doesn't speak, but does that matter when he's the doomslayer incarnate? WORD LIMIT
- Curls_of_BlueRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A duty bound warrior and guard does everything and anything to fulfill his vows.
The action is great and the pacing is really nice as well. This is an easy binge. The characters are compelling in an archetypal fashion and do a great job in rounding out the rest of the story.
Those looking for a fun binge based on doing violence to evil in the name of duty will appreciate this.
The worldbuilding is quite nice, with a solid system. Phrases and manners of speaking are used to make the world feel lived in. I do feel like the author has a great sense of history of the world and is not simply building everything as they write.
The only thing holding this back a bit are the typos, which are to be expected in a serially published work without an editor. The author, though, dutifully accepts edit suggestions and while it can be somewhat distracting, it doesn't make the story any less good. - ShackledFrog78790Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5loving the style of the writing and the level of action. Sometimes fights can be a little confusing but they may be the dyslexia comming front and center. Aesthetic so far is lovely and I love a good slice and dice story. Big ups to the author. Hope the slayer keeps walking em down.
