In public, Xenia BloodStar is beautiful, sexy, flirtatious, shrewd, charming, even funny at times. An expert politician and media darling, really good at public relations. She also excels in the battlefield. Xenia is both a reaper of lives and thief of hearts.
In private, Xenia BloodStar is sadistc, depraved, murderous and degenerate and acts a lot like Xenia Onatopp, only much much worse.
I love this story because it has few scruples about telling the story of a beautiful sexy bloodsucker and her quest for world domination, and dominating men in the bedroom, too.

The book is certainly dark and I'm sure some would be put off because of that however I personally am enthralled by the writing. I've read more than a few cultivation novels some based on sects some kingdoms but I've never read one from the perspective of an 'evil/demonic/dark' sect before. The most interesting for me has been to read between the lines to try and figure out why the MC and her mother are the way they are, little is given but hints are shone and honestly it's fascinating to me. I want more! I want to see her sink into her bloodlust and revel and to see her grow all while loving the reactions people have to her I want more. Definitely something to read if you enjoy cultivating or politicking. Give it a go

Well this is a shockingly fun read. It's quite dark and bloody very violent. If you don't mind those things or enjoy it then you will find this fun. There is alot of dark undertones for a cultivation book it's well done though the mc is quite strong. But I love her anyways and her character is just fabulous, dark, plotting, gruesome, sexy, brilliant, wearing a mask in public to full everyone so well, can't wait for another chapter

Blood star is a dark OP cultivation novel mixed with sex, royal glamour and what can be considered pretty dark themes. I read the story up to chapter 17 as it was written on patron.
Overall the story is a fun read if you are interested in/enjoy the following dark themes in a modern dynastic cultivation setting involving: violence, cannibalism, slavery and spicy themes such as sexual domination.
The story follows OP heir to the throne Xenia as she accomplishes diplomatic feats, creates medical miracles, trains to be stronger, schemes and enjoys rather dark sexual escapades.
What I like: interesting setting, good story potential

The world is very interesting, showing a lot of thought went into creating this world. The plot of the story has a lot of potential going places with the caviat that I am curious if Xenia is going to encounter more trouble later on.
The characters may need improvement in my opinion. They feel a bit flat still. This might be due to the writing style not giving you much insight in the mindset of the characters. This makes it difficult for me to understand the main character and side characters. For instance, the main character acting like a saint, then a violent seductress, a spoiled child and a good teenage daughter. That in combination with her rather dark tendencies make it hard to understand her for me.
Overall recommend to have a go at it if you can handle the darker themes!

Politics, murder, treason, sex, violence. Not necessarily in that order. Took a look at the patreon and that had literal murder while having sex with the victim.
The world building has potential, (I didn't get far enough to find out if there is a consistent reason for there not being Ki based magitech or not) but there should be some likable main characters. So far the cast seems to be made up of absolute sociopaths, blood knights that only enjoy violence without a hint of introspection or other interests, manipulative and treasonous politicians, and idiots. Or some combination of the above.
I have found that as a general rule the more you see adds for a particular story the more likely it is that it's not good enough to get or stay on Trending by itself and isn't good enough to be spread by word of mouth or reccomendations from other authors. And there are a lot of adds for this story.

Characters feel flat. The main character is set as some sadistic Mary Sue(?). Within the first couple chapters she saves someone from death, stops an assassination attempt, and subsequently tries to tempt and seduce said assassin. It eventually revokes into cannabilism for some reason. Dialogue sounds like a weird interpretation of femme fatale, mixed with whatever the author was in to and it just feels off. Read if you want an op fix-it-all MC who's personality is based on being the best , sex, and eating people
